with the newest version of CPWI I cannot connect my laptop. I see no option to use the handheld controller. Only 2 options, USB and Wifi neither of which work? I've been at this for 3 weeks now and it's driving me nuts
I got a (new to me) 5se this morning. I've spent the day watching your videos and reading the manuals. These are just right - straightforward, no jargon, in a logical order. Great job! One question though: is there laptop software for a MacBook? Thanks!
Great help. Thanks. Just tried and even though I'm aligning two stars Vega and Arcturus, it say quickly "failed" then says my finder is a problem. After Vega, it slewed almost right on Arcturus so I don't know why I'm getting an error message. Got to figure that one out but your videos are so helpful. Thanks!
Same question as guisaldanha 4 months ago, but not answered. |Please can you explain: A)How did you get Canon to appear on the NINA list? What software have you installed from Canon? Can you pass the link? & What cables to connect the Canon to the laptop. B) How to do this for Sony Alpha cameras? Thank you for reply
It's possible its the internet connection for the wifi causing it to leave the connection and reconnect to your home network. Most phones have a default option to make them disconnect from a wifi which does not have internet connection.
Great tutorial.....Thank you. I'm actually downsizing from my Meade 8" to the Celestron 5 se. At my age its a lot easier to lug outside without banging into door jambs, etc. Just needed a quick reminder on aligning..... ps. I also didn't know that you didn't need to identify the 3 alignment stars, but just any 3 bright objects. Good to know.
Hey what’s up man quick question I have the NexStar 130SLT for this process can I choose any random 3 stars or do I need to know the stars ? I’m new to this and learning how to use this telescope for my little brother. Thank you very much in advance!
Sorry I didn’t enjoy this video , took ages just to see you connect camera to telescope which is v easy takes 5 secs, what I was hoping for is you showing us the exact settings you used on the camera, shutter speed, aperture, iso settings and how you focussed ….
I use StarSense Autoalign what a time saver, a little pricey but I think if you can afford it, it is well worth it, just press connect and align and it does the alignment for you.
@1:08 - actually, the cable in your left hand appears to have a USB-Mini male connector, and the cable in your left hand clearly has a USB-A male connector. It’s important to get the terminology correct.
The direct wifi connection is good, but I prefer to set my scope as an access point and have it connect to my home network, that way my phone can still use wifi for internet while still accessing the scope. But I guess this is only relevant when at home, but the direct connection is a good backup.
I've added one to my scope, but the one thing I've never seen anyone mention, what is the chance the scope (the focuser or star diagonal) could slew into the dongle as it sticks up quite a bit.
This is a great video, thank you. We just purchased a 6SE and look forward to using it with this app. One question though, can you switch to red mode with the app? The places we go to have strict rules about using red mode and forbid and white light
Wish I had found this channel before! Just bought a 6 SE and spent a fun evening aligning using the handset, but now with these instructions, very clear and straightforward it worked beautifully. Cannot wait for clear skies.. THANK YOU..
Buongiorno, possiedo un AstroFi 130 WiFi ma non si connette quasi mai. Tu pensi che se acquistassi questo modulo il telescopio funzionerebbe bene? Grazie e buona giornata
