what the fuck. the animation transitions in this 30 year old game are better than sf6. watch the characters swap between forward and backward walking. kind of a big deal in SF.... once between walking and attacking.. its really quite smooth. granted... it looks 100 percent like a mortal kombat clone, but with infinitely better animations. dont get me wrong, almost everything about this game is quite cheesy. but... its not cringe.... and that says alot... considering how cringe it basically should be. the worst part was guiles victory pose. those elbows.... sometimes you have to know when to not copy 100 percent X_x. you know what else i noticed.... i prefer the super clean particle effects... that blood is just perfect, its just a tiny splash.. but its quite well done, the fireballs, the booms, all so clean. non of that ghetto ass sf6 spray paint spam full screen foggy ass rainbow splurgeing all over your face. sf4. best sf game. SF the movie Fighter, better looking than sf6. biggest complaint. . . the characters never shout out the special move names. hearing sf6 guile should perfect, perfect, perfect, instead of sonic boom is cringe. but the absolute lack of voice overs is quite a let down.
I didnt really play it growing up. I heard it plays just like the other street fighter games tho lol if it does thats a W imo. and there is much much worse! look up the worst fighting game series. also look up the mortal kombat clones.
I always liked this game, at the time Street Fighter was popular and then it looked like Mortal Kombat 1(OG). It wasn't popular with most fans ....oh well.
@@jasonhearn5818You know I picked up the movie on Blu-ray though and it’s a fun rewatch decades later, as bad as the plot is it had a lot of great and colorful costume work, funny quotes and Kylie Minogue in her prime in HD is a nice bonus. It’s sort of like how the 60s Batman show holds up years later.
the biggest failure of Capcom with SSF2 Turbo HD Remix (which also applies here) is that they only had UDON trace over the original frames instead of souping up the animations a bit. they may have looked decent in '94, but this HD treatment makes them look kind of stiff at times.
