Clearly, the simple act of having sex doesn't cause Angel to lose his soul. Random hookups don't seem to fall within the category of "experiencing a moment of perfect happiness." Either that, or Angel can't be made to lose his soul while under the mystical influence of a prophecy (like with Darla) or an empath's spell that gives him the overwhelming desire to have sex with someone. I think either way, he needs to be in love and his heart needs to be fully in it.
Yeah, it's just a father daughter thing. Powder/Jinx never learned proper boundaries due to her abandonment issues so she's still very clingy as an older teen. But it is Supposed to come off as weird/offputting, so don't feel bad about feeling that way
yeah silco and jinx's relationship is uncomfortable to watch... they have a father-daughter relationship but i dont think either of them know how to navigate that kind of dynamic which is why boundaries are odd looking jsjs
Yes, she goes by Jinx because Milo and then Vi called her a Jinx. If you want some additional context, Riot added Powder's diary into the game for a short period of time when season 1 of Arcane came out. It doesn't spoil anything, it only has Powder's diary entries in between episodes 3 and 4. There is a video called "The Adventure of Jinx [Council Archives] Final Entry Arcane: League of Legends" posted by Skye (wastaken2) that shows all of it. There are several entries, but here are a few, "Sister said I was a Jinx, that's all I am now.", "All I ever wanted was her and she left", "Vander died because of me, Claggor and Milo too, Powder killed Vander, Powder died that night too", and then a few times where she wrote down "Powder" but crossed it out. It's quite depressing. 😰
Me, listening to every single thing said in the intro : oh. oh you're not ready. oh you poor, sweet summer child. oooooh you have no idea what's coming 🥲🥲 Lexi within the first five minutes : WHAT HOW HUH WAIT WHAT ??? I AM PHYSICALLY UNWELL Me : and theeeeeeere we go 😂😂😂
It’s a father-daughter relationship. Sevika says she’s a problem (basically saying she’s a jinx), and Silco says it was Sevika’s job. Silco trusts Jinx to help him with his eye that was injured when Vander tried to drown him in the radiated water & his eye was bleeding. He’s mad Jinx killed enforcers & blew up a building (just like in episode 1), but she showed Silco the hextech which made him proud (she hid hextech from Vander). She trusts him, he trusts her. Neither of them know that Marcus kept Vi alive, so they both assume she’s dead.
I love how optimistic your predictions are with so many of them including: surely they'll go and explain things so that this misunderstanding is all fixed.
Glad you realized that the girl Powder shot wasn’t Vi… I’m always slightly surprised reactors miss that in the first scene, but it’s astonishing how many don’t get it even after they explain it 2-3 more times! Great reaction as always, looking forward to the rest!
"What happened to Powder?? Why is she crazy??" Um, well, her parents were violently killed and she saw both their bodies, and then she accidentally murdered her adoptive brothers and father, and then her last remaining family member punched her in the face, called her a jinx, and then left her weeping next to her father's disfigured corpse. And her sister never came back (and she has no idea it's because her sister got arrested). And the only person who's shown her affection since then is a ruthless criminal who thinks violence is a necessary part of growing and improving. Soooo, yeah....Powder/Jinx isn't doing too great at the moment. :)
I don't know how anyone could be surpised she's gone off the deep end, to be honest. There were enough hints in Epsiodes 1-3 that there wasn't something right.
It's intended to make the viewer uncomfortable. But yes, it's mostly because she's a teenager with the emotional needs of a child. And SPOILER.... . . . . . . . . ...also because they clearly both have codependency issues. Silco's love is needy in a very similar way to Jinx's.
@@blackshard641 Silco empathizes with Jinx because he equates Vi's betrayal of Powder to Vander's betrayal. It was suggested that Silco is, in a way, using Jinx to try and heal his wounds, both literally, in the case of trusting her to administer the shimmer treatment into his eye but also metaphorically as in finding a kindred spirit who's suffered as he did, although Silco doesn't recognize Jinx's fractured mental state as Silco was an adult when Vander betrayed him. He knew what he was doing. Powder did not.
Everyone on their first watch is a little bit disturbed by Silco and Jinx's relationship but its nothing sexual or anything like that. Jinx's childish demeanor is still within her and never really matured over the years because of what she went through so that's why she's acting that way towards Silco. It's a father-daughter relationship basically
Well, it didn't really end there. Like with Buffy, the story continued in graphic novels, which gave a little bit of closure. I won't do spoilers, in case you want to look those up, but I will tell you this: Angel named the dragon Cordelia. Oh, I loved this series!
i mean... the book are worst ! the first book finish with nick leaving and charlie crying saying that he is an idiot T^T like why finishing like that T^T and you start the second book with charlie leaving the partie and nick trying to text charlie but he don't know what to say
19:25 HES A DEMON LOL I swear people modern day values, it's insane how much it rots their brain, the character is evil, he doesn't care what is societally acceptable today. Like his KILLED PEOPLE, this is brain rot lol.
Your take on the source of Cersei's problem with Marjory is very perceptive. There are many obvious reasons that Cersei would resent Marjory, but Marjory's ability to manipulate Joffrey in ways that she couldn't, never occurred to me as a motive at this point in the series. Nice Catch.
Great badass scene with Daenerys and her dragon and her previously undisclosed language abilities! Now that this episode is over and nothing of any significance ever happens in the remainder of the season, Lexi should just skip ahead right away to Season 4.
7:01 (gives aside glance) 14:35 In the books, Margaery has three brothers. Willas(the oldest, whose leg is crippled, but is clever and enjoys breeding hounds and hawks), Garlan(a great swordsman, who is the one who wears Renly's armor to make Stannis's soldiers flee and trains against three men at a time)and Loras(who we've met and is the better lance). Littlefinger manipulates things so that Loras joins the Kingsguard to protect Margaery(as he's a thirdborn and gay, finding him lands and a wife is more difficult). However, even though Willas doesn't appear in person in the books, they didn't include him or the epic Garlan. Ironically, Rast(the former rapist)is one of the few who doesn't take part in the murder of the Lord Commander. They cut out my favorite part of the scene of Jeor's death though, which is him asking Sam, with his last breaths, for him to beg Jorah to join the Nights Watch and to tell him he forgives him. The scene of the books is way cooler. Dany doesn't even need the Unsullied to beat the Masters, as they're all fat, lazy old men and their "warriors"are fancily dressed weaklings with the most fearsome thing about them being their fancily ornamented hair. One of the Masters, the oldest, notices she speaks Valyrian, but by then, it's too late. She uses the scourge that Kraznys gives her and slashes his face to ribbons before she has Drogon burn him and has her handmaidens loose his "brothers". She just orders the Unsullied to stand still, unleashes her dragons(which make the mounted warriors horses panic at their scent)and her bloodriders kill most of them, with her dragons attacking the rest. Then she orders them to free the city.
I’ve always felt that Jamie helped/liked Brienne because he respected her as a fellow warrior and her obvious skill, even though he likely still saw it as below his when he had his hand. This is only based off the show though, hadn’t read the books
