Mr. Eko enlists Locke's help to find a secret location he believes houses answers to the island's mysteries. Jack has a difficult, but unavoidable decision to make about Libby.
The survivors of a plane crash are forced to work together in order to survive on a seemingly deserted tropical island.
Lost is an American science fiction adventure drama television series created by Jeffrey Lieber, J. J. Abrams, and Damon Lindelof that aired on ABC from September 22, 2004, to May 23, 2010, over six seasons and 121 episodes. It contains elements of supernatural fiction, and follows the survivors of a commercial jet airliner flying between Sydney and Los Angeles, after the plane crashes on a mysterious island somewhere in the South Pacific Ocean. Episodes typically feature a primary storyline set on the island, augmented by flashback or flashforward sequences which provide additional insight into the involved characters.
Lindelof and Carlton Cuse served as showrunners and are executive producers along with Abrams and Bryan Burk. Inspired by the 2000 Tom Hanks film Cast Away,[1] the show is told in a heavily serialized manner. Due to its large ensemble cast and the cost of filming primarily on location in Oahu, Hawaii, the series was one of the most expensive on television, with the pilot alone costing over $14 million.[2] The fictional universe and mythology of Lost were expanded upon by a number of related media-most importantly a series of mini-episodes called Missing Pieces; and a 12-minute epilogue, "The New Man in Charge".
Lost has regularly been ranked by critics as one of the greatest television series of all time.[3][4][5] The first season had an estimated average of 16 million viewers per episode on ABC.[6] During its sixth and final season, the show averaged over 11 million U.S. viewers per episode. Lost was the recipient of hundreds of industry award nominations throughout its run and won numerous of these awards, including the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series in 2005,[7] Best American Import at the British Academy Television Awards in 2005, the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series - Drama in 2006, and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.

Note how Dr. Marvin Candle called himself "Dr. Mark Wickmund" in the Pearl Orientation film. Also note how both of his arms are functioning. In the Swan film he was wearing a prosthetic left limb which suggests he was injured after the Pearl film and before making the Swan film. Both films are copyrighted 24 years previously (24 years prior to 2004 the year of the show's timeline). Although that does not really indicate when the films were actually made. They could have been made earlier and only later copyrighted "1980".

The autopsy tape is one of the creepiest things I've seen in LOST. It seriously gave me the creeps when I heard it.

The question mark (as I'm sure you've realized by now after editing/re-watching everything) was what Eko saw from the top of the cliff - the sweep of the '?' was the partial "crop circle", as you described it with the hatch as the '.' at the bottom.

It's a great episode. Certainly raises more questions, that's kind of what they do. There's nothing wrong with trotting out crazy theories and examining them, to see if they fit, if they feel right. That's sort of a staple of LOST reactions. But, maybe we need to do what Eko said and, wait for further instructions.

Bernard and Eko are the only Tailies left at out camp. Ana Lucia and Libby are dead. Nathan is dead. Goodwin was a plant, and also dead. And there were a lot of background characters (some named, like Donald) who were kidnapped or killed. However, lets not forget Cindy or the kids (Zack and Emma). They may've been kidnapped, but they are named characters who we were introduced to and got to know. Like Walt, the Others have them, but that doesn't mean that they're gone from the story. As for Eko saying that the Hatch is significant, he received a vision. I kinda think Locke's vision that lead him to the plane, was the Island trying to lead him to the Pearl, and seeing Boone bloody was a warning not to send him up to the plane. Locke just misinterpreted the vision. Things would've played out differently if Locke found the Pearl first. People will disagree with me (and power to them), but that's my theory about Locke's vision.

My view is that the psychic was lying to Eko. It feels as though he was lying to protect his family from the inevitable media circus which would descend on them if the truth became public knowledge.
@jemal999
@jemal999 19 дней назад
Or he knew Eko needed to be on the plane. I think the entire thing was engineered.. Not by the psychic, but by the island.. to get Eko on the island. The psychic is just a tool the island has used to steer a couple people to flight 815.

No, don't apologise for asking why they only kill women, that could be an interesting question if it was true, but actually, from the tail section of the Oceanic 815, there are 16 survivors In those 16, there are 5 women (why only five ? That's a good question !) and 10 men + 1 unidentified person (then we don't know the gender) To this day, on the 5 women, 2 were killed : Ana Lucia and Libby But the story's not over and things might still happen I miss Ana Lucia even more than I miss Libby... I found the character of Ana Lucia much more interesting, I like her very much, I like her style, her personality and her background was much more worked on, I think, than the Libby's one I was shocked when Michael killed them both
@buddystewart2020
@buddystewart2020 19 дней назад
...Didn't Libby tell Michael when he asked how many survived that there were 23 of them? Also, I think when she asked about why they only kill women, she was talking overall, not just the tail section. But, she definitely miss-remembered that a lot of men have been killed at this point, including some male and female 'others'. That's not counting people that didn't survive the plane crash at all. A few did and passed away soon after.

What happened between Michael/Ana/Libby is one of the things that annoy me the most about the storyline in this show, typical example of the writers going for shock value at the expense of a better story and character development, and it could have been much better with just a few tweaks, it didn't need the deaths to be shocking. At least Ana Lucia got an arc and two flashback episodes, but she had a great dynamic with the other main character, so it still felt like a waste killing her. They clearly had some story planned for Libby with Hurley, so it's more annoying and unnecessary to kill her, and I hate "coincidental" deaths like that, at least Ana was there for a proper reason. I wish they'd had "Henry" kill, or at least wound, Ana Lucia instead(he already tried to anyway). They could have not shown what happened between "Henry" and Michael to keep the mystery a bit longer about whether Michael was turned. The Michael character was not evil enough to kill them himself, that was bad writing, he'd still have her death on his conscience if "Henry" killed her. There was some tension between Michael's actor and the writers, that might be part of the reason why they made him go so bad, which is really crappy of the writers. It's suspected there was something similar with Ana Lucia and Libby too, there was some controversy around them being in a drunk driving accident iirc, but it's less certain if that was part of the reason for killing them off
@Zso-VIII
@Zso-VIII 19 дней назад
They only killed the women because several months before this episode aired, the actresses for Ana Lucia and Libby had fairly public DUI charges, and the writers wanted to write their characters off to distance themselves.
