I have a 7 inch bds lift on my tundra and it only sits about 1 3/4 inches higher than my 3 inch rough country level ? Is that just how they sit or ? I didn’t install my bump stops cause I didn’t see the need for it cause I don’t off-road is that why it sits so low?
When installed properly this kit nets a full 7" of lift up front over the stock ride height. Bump stops won't effect ride height and we offer this kit in both a 4.5" and 7" lift height. Its difficult to diagnose over the internet, so I'd suggest starting with taking ride height measurement (center of hub up to the top of the fender opening) along with some photos of the front suspension installed and reach out to our tech support team to verify ride height and figure out what's going on, tech-bds@ridefox.com. You can also connect with them over the phone as well at (517) 279-2135
I just got a 2017 colorado zr2 extended cab, does cab difference has effect on the lift kit?will this lift kit work on my truck thats my main concern .Moneys ready for doing lifting and big 35”tires
What about the drip bracket for the trans line, my bracket doesn't seem to match what I have, it has two holes and a stud which don't match the bolt diameter of stock mounting location.
BDS, I can’t find a shop who is willing to put in the labor or time into this lift. I went to your site, searched in your “find an installer” tool and none of them will do this lift. From Southeast Missouri, anywhere you all have a good working relationship with that will do this lift?
2 questions for ya. Any reason you don't just remove the caliper completely since you're replacing brake lines anyway? Then, is there a reason you don't just remove the spindle completely before removing the wheel bearing? Starting mine in the morning and just curious.
Is this a Hemi or Cummins? Still running the short control arms up front? Just curious about the ride. I have a 2013 SLT too on 37s and it feels really stiff even with softer springs.
Can you specify which Ridetech components you used? I just ordered the BDS 6in coilover system with the 2.5s as well and would like to add the air system.
I installed myself on a 2021 GMC Denali in six part-time days in my home garage. I’m retired from a major research and development company so I’ve seen my share of product designs and I was very impressed with the fit of the components in the BDS kit. I’m curious if BDS used geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GDT) to design these parts. I’d like to see a better procedure for setting the ride height of the upper control arms that doesn’t require repeating so many steps. Also like to see BDS work with Fox to develop a non-Reservoir shock for the Denali assuming ARC delete.
Hi There, Question. Do you have to cut the front crash bar on the truck with the - 18 off set wheel ?. I thinking going with the same set up but I looking a wheel with -24 off set. I know the with the -24 I have too.
Im just starting to build my F350 out! Truck stock atm... but got my "camper" useabe, but after a few trips, I want to change a few things... thinking about the 4inch lift at some point! I'll see if i can have money for lift/rims/tires saved up by next year!..
I have 20x10 wrapped in 35x12.50 and stock I get some slight rub here and there just waiting for the lift to get powder coated and I doubt I’ll rub once it’s on
