Tesla use regenerating system as engine brake while stupid im imbecile peoples still thinking that the perpetual mechine will work if the energy is cycling
So this is fake. Tesla’s have regenerative braking and if you let out of the gas it will slow down by spinning the motors backwards to resupply the batteries with energy. Most of the time you can pretty much make drives with only the gas pedal. Fake ass videos
Ok any suggestions for SSD or Micro SS drives that can survive interior temperatures of 150-190 degrees in climates reaching over 100 degrees? My 2 Sansumg SSD 1 TB drives die when visiting desert areas. And no cabin overhead protection does not cool glove box
I assume this works well for scratches that are super thin. Not really chips for me but somehow I got a scratch or two that are very much surface but 6-8 inches or so.
Picked my 2020 Model Y up from the Tesla service center today and they are useless! I will never buy another Tesla! My car was serviced for this issue three times and the problem has come back hours after picking my car up today. No one to call when you have issues like this. All I can do is schedule service 6 weeks from now and they will still not fix it! I am tiered of Tesla! I love the car but its not worth keeping with the poor service that hey offer.
I’m not seeing the option to play clips from sentry mode nor am I able to select format usb drive / delete dashcam clips. Help. I have a long range model y
I am getting an alert constantly: “ dash cam unable to write USB drive is full. clear drive space to use dash cam” I am confused because I thought the whole purpose was that it just loops and deletes old footage but this is my second drive and it’s happening having the same issues again. Any advice?
The dashcam does loop and overwrite footage but sentry mode also saves to the drive. You likely have too many sentry mode clips saved. You can plug the drive into a computer and see if it’s actually full and delete files that way or there is a “format usb” button in the security menu if your car. If you use the formate usb option it will delete everything on the drive.
@@KilowattAuto😂😂😂 hundreds of vids with drivers an passengers trying not to puke... Nearly puked in one recently... The car slows with engine breaking force.. I'll be avoiding them unless I know the driver is really good only takes a few intersections as a passenger an it's hell.. probably fine for most but awful if your already susceptible...
This was such a fantastic and simple explanation! Thank you! Can you please a video basic autopilot (not enhanced. 2023 3m) & how it works / explain the speed set up options & what autopilot does well and where to be more cautious - types of roads/speeds/rainy conditions, etc Also, how will it stay behind a car when driving at a decent speed. I can’t get myself to trust the autopilot, which of course defeats the purpose of this car & I also don’t understand how to set up speed options 🤦🏽♀️
For exterior, if one were to skip ONE of these, which one would it be? And which one is truly non-negotiable - (other than the washing of the car, of course) Clay bar? Polishing? Ceramic?
whenever u showed how fast it goes from 30 to 0 does it only use the brake once the car reaches 0mph or before that as well ? bc it seem to stop very fast
It only uses the brake once it hits zero to hold the car in place. Prior to that it’s all regenerative braking that slows the car down (no mechanical brakes).
The white interior certainly does get stained.. I attest you’re non stained and non torn up seats to your scrubs. There is no careful way to enter or leave a car unless you enter and exit like meth gorilla. The best thing to do is to buy a seat cover for the bottom half of the drivers seat. You do not need one for the passenger unless you ride with one 2/3rds of time you’re driving. I love the look of the white interior and it truly doesn’t get as hot in the sun as black but once you get the stain it’s very very hard to remove.
I don’t know why after sentry mode notifies me on screen on left side of my 2018 lrm3… I still cannot see the recording by touching the green exclamation mark.
do you have to enable the HOLD everytime you drive? could you set it up as default, so it statys like that all the time, even when ou shut down the car? Thank you
In the steering and pedals menu you can set it to hold mode and that will be linked to your driver profile. Thus anytime your driver profile is selected hold mode will be on
Dont you dare tell me that isnt some fucking tweaker shit. That is the most tweaker ass design choice I've ever heard of. Go to a rehab, and ask some former tweakers if they think thats some tweaker shit. I fucking dare you.
My boss’s 2022 Tesla was hit in the parking spot. When we checked his dash cam footage. It showed his memory card was full and the last footage was from 2 months ago. Is there a way to access any videos of there was a crash? Does Tesla have an emergency record option???
Im curious how much the temperature difference between white seats and black seats when left in 90-100 degree asphalt lot all morning. I am more evening shift worker. Have to come out to a hot car.
Well it is 2023 and prices have gone up on EAP - 6,000 dollars and FSD - 15,000 dollars. I will stick with just the Basic Auto Pilot and Cruise control - free comes with every Tesla. I don't do Freeways for lane changing or need auto park/Summons features of EAP. The Tesla vehicle is costly enough without adding the FSD feature. Plus I do not see a justification to having my vehicle drive itself. FSD still has its problems in certain situations. Also EAP and Basic Auto Pilot (BAP) are not without some problems. I know there is a 200 a month subscription for FSD, but still too much money and again using the feature. If you have money you don't know what to do with, maybe these are for you. but not for me. Take care.
Uhhh!!!!! The answer is definitely NO. And it is now July 2023 and cost is now 15,000 dollars. If you do want to get it after initial purchase of the Tesla vehicle, you can always now order it from online or get a subscription for 199 dollars a month. End of story.
Per the manual it says it will only save the last 10 minutes when you press “save”. If you want the whole 60 minutes I would take the flash drive out and save it to a computer.
I believe the passive dashcam recording is automatically saved to the usb and then overwritten. When you hit the dashcam button a portion of that footage is automatically saved as a separate file.
I just picked up my car yesterday 😊. I plan on putting a dark tint on the windows. Does anyone know if this will compromise the effectiveness of the sentry mode? I realize the cameras are mounted externally, but are the sensors that trigger them inside of the cabin? I just wanna make sure that I'm not gonna mess anything up.
This will not affect sentry mode. The cameras are constantly on when sentry mode is engaged and are triggered to record and save video by movement in their visual field.
Instead of looping only 60 minutes, Tesla should loop whenever the storage runs out of space. Why just 60 minutes so that drivers need to be mindful of doing the saving action or else it'll get overwritten.
THIS! A teenager backed up and hit my Tesla (I just had it for 5 days! 😭) and the camera caught it and LUCKILY I grabbed my phone and recorded over the touchscreen to send recording to my partner. However, as I was waiting for police to arrive, the whole conversation and back and forth between the other driver, by the time I got home, more than an hour had passed and I noticed the video of him hitting me was GONE from the Tesla “recents.” Luckily I had recording on phone, but I was frustrated that if I didn’t, evidence would be gone. When he hit me, the car was on park BUT my partner was in the back seat. Not sure if this affected anything but when I looked for the video, the hit was recording on the dashcam from the 1 loop and NOT from sensory mode recording. (I figured sensory mode wasn’t activated because I had just gotten out of car when he hit me and my partner was in back seat).
The directions recommend for the prep to use rubbing alcohol. In a pinch is that ok instead of using the Q2M prep? I have to fix a chip in a Model Y today and only have rubbing alcohol available. Appreciate the vid!
