This was back when I was running braid main line for my jerkbait setup for max casting distance at Wachusett and had a bad streak of bending out those light gauge jerkbait trebles, so kept the drag super loose to prevent that. I just throw straight flouro now and can keep the drag tighter. Thanks for watching!
I remember my first big fish. It was one of the best days of my life! The shaking, the fear of losing the fish, and the best thing is the fish pulling the line. It's like music!!! Great catch man!
Wachusett is a tough place to figure out, best advice I can give is to keep going and keep trying different areas. This time of year topwaters do well, early spring jig and jerkbait is better. For the next couple weeks fish sunrise/ sunset with top water and you should have some success
Pwr lines, church, Gate 23.....one rainbow two huge smallies and a LOT of time put in. Where is my monsta. It'll happen...one of these 12 hr excursions. Nice fish.
