I have 6 of these units and 5 of them work flawlessly. The 6th one will not turn on. I can program it. I can turn it on manually but not automatically. The screen shows the unit is OFF. Even though I push the button to turn it on, it will not turn on.
I purchased & installed this unit to water my 21 fruit trees in June 24. I setup the calendar & auto irrigation times. It was working great for a couple weeks running 3x/wk. Now the auto timer is not working. It works in manual mode but not auto timer. The display indicates everything is still setup to run but it's not. Do you have any troubleshooting ideas?
Poor instructions: no battery direction, no troubleshooting info. Mine is just scanning/searching for the device and not connecting. Tried batteries both ways without success. Uninstalled and reinstalled app without success.
None of the 1/2 inch poly tubing stays in the DIG tees. They are very loose and as soon as they are connected to water source, they either leak or pop off. Yes, I am using 25psi pressure regulator at the water source. Any ideas on how to make these tubes stay in the tee fitting? Tape the ends maybe? Currently, very unhappy, dissatisfied customer.
Happy customer here. No leak anywhere. So far, I've gotten no leaks out of the 1/2 in or the 1/4 in lines. -- When connecting the 1/2 in with Ts, elbows, or couplers, I make sure to insert it all the way. Inside all the fittings, there is a stop point. It does take some hand and finger strength--my wife could not do it. -- When connecting the 1/4 in to the drippers, elbows, couplers, or barb connectors, I make sure to soften the end of the tube by inserting it in boiling water (not too hot, 8oz cup for 2 min in the microwave). The barbs go in easy, plus the heat makes the plastic shrink which forms a tight seal.
Hello: I wanted to use the DIG B09D timer in Manual mode so that I could water beneath a tree that was missed by the sprinkler. My instruction manual says; "To instantly water push OFF. Push OFF to stop or it will run for the programmed time (if set). Default watering time is 5 minutes." Nothing happened when I pushed OFF. No water!?!?
I ser a rain delay and it never resumed watering. It would always just say 4 days on the rain delay setting. So I finally went in and manually turned the rain delay off. What did I do wrong? Shouldn’t a rain delay count down and then resume watering after that 4th day (what I was trying to set.
It clicks but doesn't let water thru. Any help? I have a 100gall tank but don't want all water going out at one time. Want water to last 2 weeks(so I don't have to haul water each week. Thats why I bought the valve. Do they make a valve that works with low pressure? Nice looking unit/don't think the valve inside is moving.
Thank you! I am setting up my DIG irrigation for my new garden and needed a refresher course. This class gave me even more information than I had before! I now know what parts I need to add to my system. Greg Smith presented the information in a precise, easy-to-understand fashion by demonstrating each product he introduced. The video quality was excellent - not too fast, including clear audio (no mumbling or variations in volume), and the correct description of each product he displayed from your "Quick Reference Index." I'm going shopping to replace lost parts from my original system!
This vedio is better than the first guy. This vedio shows more of the timer and what to do more than the person talking. I was confused about how to get to each day to set the time of day. The first vedio did not explain about setting 4 watering times per day if desired. This one did. Then you press the mode button to select the next day you want to set, then mode to start time again and set 1-4 times. And return to mode again to select the next day, mode to start, set time and so on..
I can’t find anywhere how to connect my dig irrigation system to the end of a hose. We do not have a faucet with enough space to connect. There is concrete about 3 inches above the faucet. What part do we need?
You can use several filters if needed. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact our technical service/product support team at 800-322-9146 or tech@digcorp.com
You can use any granular water soluble fertilizer with this filter, unfortunately no liquid or powder fertilizers. For liquid fertilizers i would recommend using our automatic proportional fertilizer injector the AFI 5016-HV. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
@@DIGCORPORATION if a 1/2 pound of granular fertilizer can fit inside for instance, how many gallons of water and how many emitters would this provide for? I plan to run numbers on all of these but I would assume you have data already. I have a 2,000 ft long .700 od of tubing connect to multiple tanks. Would love to know the max amount of .5 an hr droppers max should be connected and the amount of tanks should be to last 3months of dry season
@@burnettn7 For .700" OD drip tubing @ 25 PSI the max flow would be 220 GPH and the max length you would be able to run would be 400 feet. If you were to use only .5 GPH emitters in your design/installation you would be able to run 440 .5 GPH drip emitters on 400 ft of .700" OD tubing. As for how much fertilizer to use that would depend on the fertilizer brand and type you choose. we always recommend you refer to the application information on the fertilizer packaging. If you have any further questions please feel free to give our technical service/product support team a call at 1-800-322-9146.
How many years of tropical ( Jamaica) sun can these take ? Will miracle grow or other plant food, fertilizer, pesticides corrode the tubing. How does Chlorine water effect the tubing? Thanks for your help✊🏾
Hello Nathaniel, Our polyethylene drip tubing contains 2% carbon black making it very resistant to the damaging effects of UV rays. Also nutrients, minerals and fertilizers do not have any negative effects to our poly tubing. Please let us know if you have any other questions, comments or concerns.
Hello John, The BOHE-BT does not have a rain sensor connection so the rain delay feature has to be set up manually on your app. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Hello Kerry, A few things can cause this type of issue. The first is low pressure anything under around 20 psi. The second is debris stuck inside the valve causing reduced flow. The third is clogged screen washer on the inlet side of your BO9D timer. If you need further troubleshooting assistance please feel free to call our technical service/product support line at 1-800-322-9146.
I have 75ft of garden hose before getting to 100ft of DIG drip system. Do I still need a pressure regulator given pressure will drop significantly traveling 75 door hose. I am concerned that dropping to 25 psi using pressure regulator will leave very little pressure for the 100ft DIG drip irrigation system
When joining 2 of these hoses together.. Do I use a regular joint connector or do I have to use the flow 25 GPH to join the two together AND use one at the water source?
Hey Jake, when connecting the drip lines together, it is best to used the #C33 coupler, which is not in the kit. But I'm not quite sure if this is exactly what your question is asking. If you give our tech service department a call at (800) 344-1172, they will better be able to assist you.
I bought multiples of this from Home Depot and 50' length is what they stock.. How is it that the hose that is in a round coil, comes with so many kinks in it out of the box.. Every one of them. The 100' foot you used, by the looks of it, doesn't have a single kink in it. Laying them in the sun doesn't remove the kinks but does make it easier you handle, Your hose in the video doesn't look like it's EVER been rolled up.
Hey Jake, sorry about that! We do our best to manufacture and ship tubing with no kinks, but sometimes through dealing with a very high manufacturing output, it does not always come out perfect. We will make note of this though and pass along the information to our manufacturing and shipping departments.
My sprinkler system is programmed but just won’t turn on automatically anymore. I have to press the manual button if I want the sprinklers to turn on. What can I do?
Topics covered: Change the Time Format*, Set Cyclical Irrigation Programs/Start Days, Set a Rain Delay, Set Odd or Even Water Days, Set/Change/Delete Multiple Start Times, Connect a Rain Sensor. *) not covered in the manual - glad to see how to do this in the video!
Nice instructional video - but would’ve been nicer if presenter had white or light colored shirt on! The black parts “disappear” against his black shirt background!
First I love my battery operated ones so damn easy to set up. However, 2 of them, new, keep leaking when turned on. Do you have a video fixing such a thing?
Hey Alex, We're glad to hear that you found the controllers easy to set up! Unfortunately, we do not have a video for troubleshooting them at the moment, but you can give our tech service a call at (800) 344-1172, and we can work through the issue with you.
