There is a girl that goes to my church she shows pretty much the signs that you talk about and she will say she doesn't like me but be made if im dating or talking to another girl and also i complimented her smile once and she came back to church the next say smiling alot. I even overheard her sister saying i was her crush. She is definitely shy though and will be all comfortable around everyone else and really nervous around me. This has only been since i got divorced i went to the church when i was married and we got along great and she could talk to me but since i been divorced and have been available its been this way

The truth is you fear rejection not that you don't want the person to know that you like them. Deep down you wish that that person knew just how much you do infact like them.
When a girl gives you one or two word answers when your working with her and say she's shy and doesn't give much eye contact in close proximity but does at other times like looking over at you from afar. Does this mean interest and I also find when I ask a specific question she will respond more but seems a lack of eye contact. I asked her on social media a month ago out for a coffee as friends but haven't heard back. Very hard to ask her face to face as I only see her for a few hours on one day a week. Also suspect some colleague's have got to know my feeings for her and maybe bad mouthing about me to her. Would appreciate any advice xx
Thank you for the feedback from the other day! Sorry for another comment. So we went and things seemed to go well. We have messaged since and she said that she had a great time and it sounded like she would like to get together again (no confirmation yet though). She told quite a few childhood stories and wanted to wander the mall after breakfast so I suggested checking out her favorite store in the mall before the movie. We ended up being a bit late and asked her for spoilers for the movie but she said no “she likes to see people’s reactions”. A lot of laughing through the date before we went to the movie.

This is old and I don’t expect an answer but a girl that I’ve been talking to for a few weeks has social anxiety (she told me). The conversation's kept going and I asked a couple times about getting together to meet and she ignored those questions (she answered other questions I asked though and continued messaging with both of us asking info questions). Move on. She is not interested in you. Find another one. My next tip is you avoid too much friendly boring chitchat. Instead mix it with playful teases and mild sexual thoughts so she sees you as an attractive man.
I'm actually not a fan of moving too quickly when you're still only messaging her. My advice would be to keep her in the friendzone until they've actually met in person. But if he's worried she'd move on to another dude, that's the only time I would tell him to be flirty so she gets the message.

Alot of the things you describe happen vice versa to me. I ask a woman questions to get to know her, but she never asks me any questions to get to know me. And I get one word text responses too.
