Tom's Key Company believes that an extra car key should not be ridiculously expensive (it seems car dealerships feel differently). Tom's Key enables individuals to program new car keys and remote fobs for their vehicle at a fraction of the price most car dealerships charge. We also believe the customer service should be excellent and if it doesn't work for your vehicle, you deserve a full refund.

Most likely, yes, it will be able to make a spare key with working buttons and that has the proximity function working so you do not need to hold it up to the start/stop button. There's an important challenge with many Mazda vehicles. Mazda used two different circuit boards inside the key shell. You must match the FCC ID number for your vehicle. It is usually printed under the emergency key blade in small print. Wrong FCC ID number and the situation you are describing happens because the remote signal can not communicate with the vehicle. I'm going from memory here: we may only be able to program the remote with FCC ID ending D01. Not the one ending D02, but we are working to have both.
We have a working key, but it only works when you press it on the start/stop button...green flashing light on 2016 Mazda CX-5. Will we be able to get that one working? Had multiple keys, but when they were lost, they reprogrammed one, but that one only starts when you hold the key up to the SSB.

The programmer gets paired to the VIN number of the first vehicle you program. It can make several keys for that vehicle. But for a different vehicle, you need to get another programmer. If you need further assistance, email us at help@tomkey.com

@@TomsKeyCompany-DIY Ended up buying a refurbed oem key from oem car key mall before you replied. $60 dollars since it is used. Hopefully, it programs correctly. If not then I will check out yours. Jeep is currently back ordered on my key fob from the dealership.
Will this work if I have the key to my nissan murano 2012 but it only starts a car when the key is put in the hole and when its in my hand its the no key detected on the dash-but when I put the key in that hole it will start the engine. I changed battery and its still doing it, so not sure if that kit would help or I should bring the car to some place. What can be wrong, also 3 door locks not locking but that was since begining -seller sold me like that but key was working to lock one door but now its not working when nearby not locking and not putting alarm.
A person MUST have one working key fob in order to use Tom's Key service to make a spare. tomskey.com has kits that include the programming device and one key fob. If you need more than one key fob, add a loose key into the order with the kit as you can use the programmer to make multiple keys to a single vehicle.
@@progresssonsgaming I think it's best that you sent a message to customer service. Go to help.tomskey.com. Share info about your vehicle year, make, model and let them know that you do not have any working key fobs but can open the car doors. They can look into the specifics to help you out.
Some local places will cut keys you bring in. Others will refuse and give a story that keys bought online are poor quality (we buy keys from the same suppliers that provide keys to locksmiths). I think they just want to sell the entire key to you. Anyway - so you do not have ot use our Key By Photo service. But depending on your local locksmiths / hardwarestores you may or may not have trouble getting it cut.
Will this work if the only working key isn’t the original? I know this because the Nissan logo is not on it. The dealer from whom I bought my vehicle from recently only gave me this one key.
Hi, if you have a key that can start your vehicle, we can help you make a spare. Send us an email at help@tomskey.com and we will be glad to assist you
It might program, it might not. Depends if that particular fob requires being wiped clean before it can be re-programmed. Some brands it's as simple as programming to your vehicle and it will work. Others it requires a lot of effort to erase the prior vehicle from the key fob memory. I just don't know for this one. Order the kit - it comes with the programmer and one fob. You'll be able to get the fob from the kit programmed. Then you can try programming the one from eBay and you might end up with 2 spares.
Unfortunately no. Jeep made some changes in 2018 that we don't yet have a good DIY solution for. Not sure when we'll have one. Your best bet may be checking our partnerships on this page to see what it may cost. tomskey.com/pages/cant-find-my-vehicle
@@christidder3290 I just checked - we do not have a do-it-yourself solution for 2022 Highlander yet. In the near future we will be selling key fobs for 2022 Highlander, but programmign will require you to get assistance from a local locksmith or car dealership.
Where is the address for returning the EZ Programmer? It worked but I did not save hundreds. In fact, I've already paid over $400 for the key, the cutting, the EZ programmer deposit. Now I can't find the address to return the EZ-Programmer, so you're going to charge me more money.
@@TomsKeyCompany-DIY Hey thanks, yes I did email and I called and I tried chat. I finally received a reply after reaching out here, IG, email and BBB. It took 4 days.
Or just go to local part store and buy a replacement body and take 3 seconds to swap the board over to new one and not have to spend $100+. Last one I got was less than $20 with taxes.
Both my keys aren’t working now and the push to start button won’t light up. I tried all your suggestions to no success :( I called the help # and no is answering. Please help!
