I study Polish on Busuu but I am also a Monika's subscriber. I have a good vocabulary in Polish but I am not able to speak correctly because there are a lot of rules regarding the cases. In English we don't see those rules, then it is easier to a Polish learn English rather than an English native speaker learn Polish. By the way, Lubię grać w tenisa. A ty, co lubisz grać?

Thank you for the lesson. Also weird in Slovene Matka or [M'tka] is quite a teenage informal cool/rude way to speak about your mother. Formal would be Mati/Mater , Informal Mama/mami.

Monica is a very pleasant teacher. Her body language and facial expressions are endearing and lovely. I forced myself to watch the whole video just to have some comparison with Russian and Serbian which i speak at mid to low level. It seems to me that Polish is a strange dialect of Russian which I would not venture to learn on account of the consonant "bunch-up" and some diphthongs like the a and e with "tails" which would be impossible for me to get used to. Nevertheless, I have a Polish friend with whom I can explore the differences among the Slavic languages which interest me. Thank God I am Hungarian! : )

V Rossijskom rozlika je. Prepozicý Pred i nad i zavše trebuju kreativnik, ne važno stojiš tý, ale dvižeš do predmetov. Rane davno, jednakož tež samo što i v Polskom, stojaly v akuzative. Meždu može mati i kreativno i genetivno zakončanje, napr. Projdi meždu stolov czy meždu stolamy. A predlogy Za i Pod ochranil'se v akuzativnom pripade.

What is the difference between using z and od ?? When do i use what
@PolishwithMonika
@PolishwithMonika День назад
Both "z" and "od" can be translated as "from", but there are some differences between them: "Z" is used when the movement is from inside of something, e.g. from a place, from a box, etc. Jestem z Polski. - I am from Poland. Wyszłam z domu. - I left the house. Weź swoje rzeczy z pokoju. - Take your things from the room. Wyjmij mleko z lodówki. - Take the milk from the fridge. "Od" is used when indicating the sender of the action. It can also mean 'since'. Dostałam to od babci. - I got this from grandma. Od kogo to masz? - Who do you have it from? Od kiedy tu jesteś? - Since when you have been here? There are also other meanings of 'z' and 'od'. I recommend checking the usage and studying the examples in a dictionary.
