Dziękuję bardzo za filmik! Myślę, że różnica między słowami „obiad” i „kolacja” zazwyczaj jest trudną kwestią dla początkujących w nauce polskiego 😅 Pozdrawiam serdecznie!

Hi, I'm from Poland and I'm learning English. In my experience, you can watch a RU-vid video in Polish with Polish subtitles to learn pronunciation and writing (it's really easy in Polish because syllables are always pronounced the same way). And this is the natural method of learning languages and you can watch what interests you.

Great video! Could you please explain in a video the different pronunciations of "ie"? Sometimes it sounds like "e" i.e. kiedy, and sometimes it sounds like "i-e" or "j-e" i.e. wiesz. Is there a rule for it?
@PolishwithMonika
@PolishwithMonika Год назад
Thanks for the idea for a video. In short: "ie" because of fast and unclear speaking or because of a dialect sometimes might sound as "i" or "e". For example, many people say fast "dzień dobry" as [dziń dobry], or "kiedy" as [kedy] "i" between a certain consonant (m, w, f, b, p, d, t, and sometimes n) and a vowel (a, e, o, u, ó) often sounds like [j]. For example, the word "miasto" is pronounced as [mjasto], "wiosna" as [vjosna], "biuro" as [bjuro]
