Very interesting, feeling how the bloating and pain receded within approximately two months made all the difference, I simply go’ogled the latest by Tilly Strankten and her Ovarian Cyst Guide and although it really took about 10 weeks for it to totally shrink and vanish I’ve never felt so light and relaxed.

Love this talk! Because of all of Dr Haver’s great research, I have started HRT (56yo), and I am already noticing good results after 3 weeks. My son and I thank you for helping me stay out of a nursing home ❤

Thank you so much for this video discussion. As a 55-year-old Black woman experiencing a plethora of menopausal symptoms, I went on a quest to find out all the information I could about perimenopause and menopause. I was saddened by the lack of information, so I decided to do my part and speak out to other women. I created a Facebook group dedicated to menopause, and I share so much information. I encourage other women to speak up about their menopause journey. It has also encouraged me to write about my menopause journey to educate other women about the experience. I will be sharing this video with my group.

Horrible advice regarding HRT. The old adage, “use the lowest dose for the shortest amount of time” was never backed by science and is NOT the current recommendation. As well, saying that women should stop estrogen when one is more than 10 years out from menopause or 60-65 yrs old is also bad advice. This physician is clearly not up on the latest research or guidance from The Menopause Society. 👎

I am 51 and have been in menopause for many years. I have no menopausal symptoms luckily. I have not been sexually active for 5yrs. I have just had intercourse and I bleed Everytime during intercourse now.

I have the Mirena coil as part of my HRT. I heard it can switch off ovulation in 25% of women. Is this true and also more likely to happen if you are perimenopausal?

Bad info provided on who should not take HRT; does not reflect current guidelines and scientific data. She seems to be referring to flawed/retracted/debunked analysis of WHI study from 2002.

Funny, until recently I hadn't realized that Mario updated his favorite way to tackle ED and it's a relief! Although what he previously suggested was pretty good, it was a real pain to follow... I just go'ogled the latest by Mario Volpstein, it's so much easier and potent now!

Thanks for this. I just asked my doctor to increase my estradiol dosage today because the lowest dosage is useless for me and I am a person very sensitive to fluctuating hormones with a history of childhood trauma. My mother is diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment and is in her seventies and still having night sweats and insomnia. She is on Cymbalta and Mirtazapine together for anxiety, depression, and lack of appetite. I often wonder how much her suffering over the last 30 years could have been relieved had ANYONE ever suggested HRT. She has no conditions that would rule it out for her.

Thank you so much for this important discussion! I've been searching for menopause information for black women and RU-vid did not disappoint. "Peri" is settling in for the duration! LOL. I followed the docs in this video, subscribed to this channel and I already feel like I'm not alone. Gonna keep watching and researching because I need to be prepared to advocate for myself. Appreciate this! I will share with other GenX-ers in my circle.

I am a black woman and I find it interesting and very sad that when I go on RU-vid channels with black women complaining and talking about how they suffer during Menopause, majority of them don’t even know that they are going through Menopause, they don’t even know what HRT is or they don’t even discuss it at all, even in the comments. They have just excepted that they will just tough it out and suffer for years….but when I go on RU-vid channels with white women and white doctors, majority of them are educated on Menopause and HRT and get relief from their symptoms instead of just suffering for years….

Thanks for addressing the myth that black women and heavier women "don't get osteoporosis". I wish doctors were as afraid of malpractice claims if a woman is denied HRT and dies from a hip fracture as they are of patients getting breast cancer.

Great talk, I just wanted to say regarding the birth control pill during perimenopause (which I use and is fantastic for this), some people STILL think they have to have a week off or take 7 dummy pills in each strip. This leaves them untreated 25 percent of the time, which could explain this group having symptoms.

Great information! Two comments: the Dr. can sound a bit patronizing. Also, she talks way too fast. The information she is providing is SO important, if she could just slow down the delivery a bit. This would also allow the moderator to moderate and ask questions especially to clarify some of the Dr's points.

Menopause Taylor has a video on this, with a chart. The minimum dose to prevent health problems may not be the same as that which relieves symptoms.

Wow! It's a matter of black women's identity crisis . Black women are 4 times more susceptible to symptoms and diseases with no proper scientific reasons given. Therefore if black women can solve their crisis then they will be able to help other races. Shalawam!
