Welcome to my channel, I'm Colin, a professionally trained, automotive leather restorer based in Berkshire, with over 10 yrs experience and 500+ car interior restorations completed.
I sympathetically repair and restore existing car leather, I don't use any new leather or provide re-trimming services. The professional restoration process I use can repair scuffs, rips, cracking and worn leather back to nearly new condition and is detailed on my website. This process is the same as the manufacturers would have used originally.
Carpets can be professionally steam cleaned or on classic Porsches I provide a full re-carpeting service using OEM quality carpet sets.
I hope you enjoy my videos and please do comment and provide feedback.

@@TheJump001 thank you for your nice comment. I’m a believer in doing a job well or not at all, I have to correct quite a few quick ‘paint over ‘ jobs. Regards
@@LeatherRestorationLtdthank you for your response. have you ever tried to dye a blue non leather upper dashboard on 993? If so, can you use a leather dye or does it require a different type of dye? Thank you.
Good morning Frank, thanks for contacting me. The costs of each restoration can vary given the condition of the interior and what work is required. If you are able to email me so photos then I can estimate the work and discuss / agree an estimate. Regards
Hi, I’m sorry I don’t know if it is. That’s how it arrived and so I restored the existing leather back to near new. It has been overpainted which always makes restoration more challenging.
@@jaap5398 A couple of things. First, restorers almost never use the correct Connolly leather, with the correct texture and color. And second the fitment is always off. All of the wrinkles and folds you see are deliberate and unique to the Esprit from the factory. Most restorers don't get that right at all, this shop clearly did. Part of the reason is that these cars were never really valuable enough to justify high-dollar interior restorations, so they went to restorers who weren't entirely qualified. Now they're appreciating rapidly so I guess we'll see better restorations in the future.
Hi many thanks. I don’t use any new leather I’m a specialist restorer that restores the coatings on the existing leather. Keeps originality and patina whilst making the interior as near to new as it will get. Regards
@@LeatherRestorationLtd isn’t the trouble with these kind of coatings that the leather is will not absorb leather feed afterwards, as the coating effectively seals off the leather? And, the coating wears more quickly than the original colouring? That’s been my experience but I appreciate your thoughts!
If prepared correctly and the correct process and chemicals used, it should last as long as the original coatings on the leather. How it is subsequently used and treated have a large bearing on its longevity. Older leather needs to be chemically strengthened and large cracks treated before the new coatings are applied. I hope this helps ?
