The Porsche 911 996s are all reaching the age where their leather requires restoration. On this generation of 911 I've noticed the clear satin leather sealant is wearing away between 7 and 12 years exposing the softer leather colourant.
Light grey colourant then absorbs the dirt, darkens with chemical pigment aging and UV damage meaning after 24 years this 911 was dues leather restoration.
On this restoration, I restored the front seats, center armrest, door cards, steam cleaned carpets, restored the gear knob, handbrake handle and steering wheel.
The end results took years off the interior and made it a very pleasant place to be on a daily basis.
