The second piece lacks charm compared to some other performances I have listened to. The first piece is lovely. No argument that his playing is phenomenal - - just to compare him with another RU-vid idol, he blows Sokolov out of the water ;no matter whether it's young or old Sokolov, Trifonov is a vastly superior pianist.
Cannot read music; there should be D naturals (RH and LH) in Bar 7. Glenn Gould made the same mistake. This playing is unrhythmical, and directionless.
Great little piece. I will assume Scriabin composed this during his formative years before he took hold of his OWN personality in his compositions. In this piece, you can hear his Future while his Chopin influence is still very much evident. Really a beautiful song for piano. I will learn this piece this month. That’s how much I appreciate it
Waldesrauschen is such a beautiful piece. I prefer Bolet but that's just my taste. Trifinov is exceptional but he's rarely reached me. He has fingers galore for sure.
The first one came straight out of Chopin's etudes, the last one is straight out of a Tchaikovsky dance, and the third one (Au Crepuscule) is my favourite. Cute little vignettes.
