Ikr. The amount of so-called soccer fans who’ve been complaining about Mata not starting is baffling. He showed how unfit he is in the 30 odd minutes he was out there, never mind starting a game…
@@Amash796 yeah i dont rate him as a signing good for promotion but he will be another sturridge i think, we spent all our recruitment money on him its obvious lol
This bloke spoke from the heart and is spot on. Plus the fans today, even with a sellout were sterile. RBB needed to bring big numbers and fell well short of The Cove sadly
KG isn’t it obvious that what has United us, for example, in our inaugural season was the reality that we have a Western Sydney club that represents the people of Western Sydney, that we felt immense pride and passion for. Results didn’t dictate our crowd numbers, the culture of Western Sydney did and we showed up in big numbers no matter what. When you have constant exoduses and influxes you lose your ways of culture and disconnect from your roots, that’s the reality of our past seasons transitioning from ANZ and Spotless to the new Commbank Stadium. You can’t plant a seed then expect it to grow, you have to support it, so it can grow its roots strong. But we’ve cut our stem too short. This bloke is right, we need unity from all stands, and from players. I back Staj to focus on bringing a team that play the Western Sydney way, and I think he can do that. Let him work, focus, and show us, ease the pressure off Staj, he’s not Rudan and managers of old.
A 6pm march for a 7:40 kick-off is ridiculous. Unlike most in the RBB, People have jobs, kids, work etc. We can’t spend half a Saturday starting at midday on the piss in a pub and then go to a march 1.5 hours before a game starts. My son was sad to miss the March. It reduces the atmosphere. If the reason is because of police, ok understandable. Otherwise it kills the energy and intensity not only before but also at the start of the match.
No offence George but you’re the epitome of cluelessness. Because what does that even mean, they don’t know NSW football? I disagree, the boys were structured, but what you see on the pitch showed signs of it, especially when you compare the lineup we put out against Sydney FC’s experienced lineup. It’s the first game of the season, back Staj.
Agree, Smurfs were worried about what we were doing out there, despite the loss, i thought we looked good for long periods, and if we keep playing like that, we are going to win more than we lose.
@@bobbyjovi No, I would agree, finishing is an issue. They were worried about our ball movement and us creating something around their structure. Pace, timing of runs and accuracy will get better with competitive game time, but the bones are there. We caught them out plenty of times, and if we had taken our significant chances, we would have won that game.
Mata wouldn’t last 40 minutes. And he couldn’t do what he was there to do. Dead ball kicks. 3 attempts, 3 fails. Look at Scicluna’s performance. Gave the ball away every time and should’ve been subbed at half time. But you’re dreaming about thinking Mata has the pace to start a game just yet. Coach is out of his depth.
The fanbase back at it again blaming the coach and his gameplan. For the last 2 years you were sick of Rudan belting it forward to win 50-50 challenges which we never won so why would we win it this year? Yesterday the team was well structured progressing the ball from the back to front and created a few chances. Absolute dinosaur fanbase this is why we deserve all the crap we get. Vidac was extremely composed on the ball he did not look phased playing out from the back if anything he always wanted the ball, this is where football is heading either embrace it or get left behind like we have been for years. Why won't you call out the club favorites and the personnel who will let any coach down? You put Milanovic and Borrello on such a pedestal but they wouldn't even start for a top A-league side, the players are not good enough simple as but you don't want to call them out cause the fanbase wanna get a selfie and be all mates with them.
I think we're pretty deluded as a fanbase if we don't think Sydney FC have the better squad and if you think we're gonna challenge for anything this season. Yes we got Mata but left back is still an issue, Simmons still has his mistakes in him as he showcased against Adelaide. Midfield is still a big issue, out wide we have nothing we don't know which Milanovic will turn up and Borello has been rubbish ever since the fans put him on a pedestal. We hype Milanovic and Borello like they're the messiah but they wouldn't even start for Sydney, Victory and City they're average at best.
Good show guys, banana should not go on holidays at this stage of season!lol...BIG game to start which is too soon...FC are the team to beat, excellent recruitment as well as Uffys first full season...Staj will make the 6 with the players in the squad which has a great blend of Youff/experience
Banana is right that if flares are made legal there will be thousands going off but it will only last the first couple of weeks. Flares aren't cheap and the novelty will wear off. Let the kids come in and take their instagram selfie holding a flare and it will die down real quick. After that you can somewhat enforce it in the bays with a stigma similar to how it's frowned upon to stand in the middle of the RBB with your phone out not chanting. Make it a "Rule" that you only rip on the Capos instruction.
Antonsson doesn't owe us anything, his finishing wasn't great but he worked his ass off more than the so called stars in that team. You can't question his mentality he has that Western Sydney grit being a hard worker look at how often he was close to our penalty box last season cleaning shit up, no wonder he had no energy left up front.
The same players that you constantly praise the Milanovic, Borello, Simmons again with another mistake, midfield nowhere to be seen but under yet another coach we're blaming the formation again the players can do no wrong. The core of this team will fail us again but KG is too busy wanting to mingle with the players being in their good books asking for shirts instead of calling them out for their inconsistencies on the pitch.
I thought it would have been an opportunity for Stajic to show what he has done so far but didn’t impress me actually it was quite disappointing. Same same game boring 🥱 Hopefully he can look back and learn from that game. I’m sick of coaches coming in and knowing why the previous coach was “let” go and they come in and do the same. Fingers crossed in 5 weeks he can do better.🔴⚫️
