Hiya! My name is Kieran, and welcome to Kieran's Travels. I am a 19 year old who absolutely loves everything Travel and Transport. I create both short and long form Bus, Train, Tram, and Travel content, in various forms. Starting out as a gaming channel called Trainsim99 in 2017, I have grown strength to strength, later becoming Kieran's Transport Diaries, and wanting to branch out from just transport, becoming Kieran's Travels in 2023. I now create a variety of transport and travel content, including trip reports.

Merseyside and Southport stands united - If you want to donate to Swifties for Southport, you can do so via this link - justgiving.com/page/swifties-for-southport Sorry for the long wait between videos, I'm better now, so regular videos can resume. Enjoy the video :)
@@ThyNuggetMan Merseyrail (the platforms down on the low level of the station) are third rail just like down south, so, if they'd of done it there, they would've been too.
£1000 fine for trespassing should be considered too lenient. It should be a lengthy prison sentence. The hazards on a railway line: 25 kv overhead wires or 3rd rail may zap you, tge trackes are allways switched on. Ballest and sleepers very uneven, can be slippary and dangerous. Running rails are a trip hazard A train may pass at hugh speed and run you over, they can take two miles to stop Other hazards involve unsafe surfaces, thick land and spare rails. Noise from trains over 85db sometimes.
Hi Kieren, Its been 2 years since I have watched and I have been searching you for so long, I Have been searching on your channel for those Bathewick and Somerset travel videos where you would travel across the city and your friends would drive, the editing and maps was so nice, and it inspired me to create journey vids (on my other channel) now I can't find it :( I would really like to watch it again
@@MinionRBXGaming I feel like my 2020/2021 gaming videos were loved by a lot of people, and I know that. It's just that the transport community landscape has changed so much since back then, I haven't played Roblox myself in over 2 years now. I unfortunately received quite a lot of hate from certain corners of the scene too, which still follows me to a certain extent to this day. I did make a channel called "Kieran's Transport Diaries Archive" where I planned to upload those old videos for those who want to see them again.. but honestly, the harassment I received put me off actually doing it. Still, the archive playlist is still there, and can be viewed in the playlists section of my channel, or via this link - ru-vid.com/group/PLJhc6M37xH0m7XhQ-QD81m4V9_NIG6Q_B&si=4hMUoGtkN5gyiG3O
@@kieranstravels Oh, But if u can just make the travel videos unlisted in that playlist or of u can, make the travel videos in an archive Bathewick and Somerset videos as I would love to watch it 😅
@@MinionRBXGamingAre the Bathwick videos not in there? I could've sworn I put them in it.. My apologies! Will add the missing videos when I get the chance later today. I’d love to get these Euro 2 and 3 Presidents in Keighley although I know very little about their typical workings. And they’re going in September I think thanks to new electrics for Harrogate 36, once its B5s are refurbished What’s the best way for me to catch these old beauties?
@@ChilternTransportProductions These actually often make public appearances on the local routes out of Keighley when the schools aren't in - Pretty much all of the standard fleet (outside the Rosso examples) can and do operate public services on occasion. The most common one to see in public service is Y716 HRN, as it's actually in the modern livery, so they pretty much work it 6 days a week, week in, week out - But other common examples include PL51 LDX, PN02 XBT, and YD02 UMY, which all work pretty often. The other Y plates on the other hand, range from difficult, to nearly impossible to find in public service, apart from very occasionally during half terms (They mostly get laid up over the summer months). I'd say your best bet is to wait for the first half term after term restarts in September, and go for it - We scored 3 in one day (and would've gotten a fourth had we of not went to Bradford when it appeared) during a half term, which was when this was filmed.
@@kieranstravels The only problem with that is I fear they’ll be withdrawn by then. Otherwise I might just do that if I knew they’d still be around then
@@ChilternTransportProductions Paul Turner has already confirmed via Transdev Enthusiasts on Facebook that Keighley won't be modernising until the electrification of the depot beginning 2025, so it's likely the presidents are safe until at least December. Still, it's not a bad shout to try going down on a summer weekday at some point soon - If you are lucky, you could still score a decent few in a day, There's 4 out at the time I'm writing this!
@@kieranstravels Decent! Yeah, I might try one summer holiday and then you said October half term might be best afterwards? Although isn’t there one diagram somewhere that works onto a 62 and 64 in the peaks?
@@ChilternTransportProductions Burnley's B7 BVD semi regularly works Rosso routes on behalf of them - Though that, I rode it right through the pennines from Rawtenstall to Todmorden. The Keighley ones typically only do the K routes, as well as The Dalesway.
Hi kieran , as a city bus driver myself in bristol i noticed this very bus parked up on feeder road today ,i decided to take some pictures of it and show them to paul the t.c at marsh street next week when i return from holiday ,im sure he would have driven it at some point many years ago when he started for city line in 1987 .It will be interesting to hear the history of this bus and what routes it did around Bristol.Thankyou for the great video.
@@kieranstravels Thankyou it was a rare sight and one I had to take some pictures ,it will be even more interesting to hear all the storys Paul will have to say about it .
A bit of a waste that they refuse to use it on mainstream services because it retains its rear doors, considering most other independents would just disregard the rear door and passengers exit from the front instead
It's disabled ramps are in the rear door I believe - so they'd have to single door convert it to put the ramp in the front for it to become PSVAR compliant.
I used to drive this on the 727 Chesterfield - Sheffield run. 673 was the slowest of the bunch as the kickdown didn't work. Great days though, driving these was much more fun than service buses.
