Went and drove one. Not the dual motor. Not particularly quick, lumbering handling, one of the least efficient vehicles you can buy, far too expensive to have an interior that just doesn’t feel quality or luxury. Love the exterior….but that’s not where you sit when you are driving.

Actually, it’s been available in the Silverado since the 2019 model year, but it was not available on the Tahoe or Suburban until 2025. 2025 is the first model year that this combination is available on the SUVs.
In Dec 2018 I bought a new 2019 Colorado ZR2 V6, great truck but in 2024 I wanted something different. Test drove a new 2024 Colorado ZR2, then test drove a new 2024 Ranger Raptor, after the test drive, I couldn't buy the RR quick enough. I've had the RR for 3 months now, Absolute Beast for a gas burning mid-size 4x4 truck, love it. With Mary B in charge at GM the Colorado ZR2 will never have a twin turbo V6 with 400+HP, her next step will be to clip the last ball remaining and put a 3cyl in it with no turbo, she is on a mission to keep the Dems happy. Also, GM needs to get a handle on quality, with all the issues and problems with the new GM twins Colorado's/Canyon's it's an absolute nightmare. When you go to the colorado fans forum and read about all the complaints it makes your head spin. Cameras that don't work right, owners reporting dead battery's not just once but several times, cab roofs severely deforming from car washes and driving in strong wind, headlights blinking off and on when driving at nighttime, faulty front windshield rubber gaskets leaking water into the cab, just to name a few. Issues like that really doesn't inspire confidence in buyers at all, they don't walk away they run away.
CT6V owner here. There are reports of a few Premium Lux w the LTA (one was for sale recently) and also a couple in production 2018 vehicles. Any comments on those?
GM should give ZR2 Bison a bit more horsepower. Especially with the added weight and rubber. It could really benefit from a 350-400hp tune.. would be more in line with Ranger Raptor, which is pushing over 400 ponies. I agree completely on the interior..ugly af and needs an alternate option. I'd rather see a jet black interior with red stitching. Looks better and more fitting of the ZR2 trim.
101, simple solution for your delima just buy a Ranger Raptor. Also, the last batch of 2024 RR's are just starting to ship out to US Ford Dealerships right now before 2025 RR production starts. Definitely over the next 3 months Oct, Nov, Dec, best time to try and get one now that the first buying surge is over. There have already been several posts on ranger6g of guys buying RR's in California for MSRP which is amazing. ✌
The new update looks so good. I’m glad they changed the tail lights and yes, this truck may be expensive but it’s just like everything else that went up in the economy so stop complaining if you’re not going to buy it.
I wish the Colorado or Canyon would have about 1”-1.5” more rear seat legroom so it would be less cramped in back seats and wish it came with an extended bed like the Tacoma.
You went into such unnecessary details when talking about the boomerang design in a few places on the interior, and then completely forgot to talk about the drive dial and the different drive modes which was weird, and that is way more important.
You guy s predicted "6" models in the C8 lifecycle, with the only one not mentioned as of yet being the C8 Grand Sport as listed in your chart at the beginning of the video. Do you guys have any feeling that the Grand Sport is yet still to come at this point? I am waiting, and so very much hoping that one is coming. Your take, please?
Ok but if Chevrolet was truly listening to the customer…there would be a introduction of 7th gen v-8 Camaro/ZL1. Not discontinuing it. Mary Barra, owns 3 of them still i believe so wtf!!! Love ur show!

The Front End is a Horrible Design, The Terrain needs the front end to be inspired by the New GMC Acadia. The New Terrain needs the 2.0 liter turbo found in the Cadillac XT4.
I was able to drive one of these once. My Father-in-law is a Cadillac salesman. One of his customers told him to take his CT6‐V on an extended test drive after a rather lengthy diag / repair. So he drove it from Daytona Beach to our house in South Carolina. Beautiful car.
The Northstar was a great engine? Great for generating head gasket sales, yes........ GM goes and spends all that money to design and build this engine, and then tanks it after only 1200 units. I hardly think they amortized the investment; What gives?
GM really went from "it weighed as much as a mid size car but had the dimensions of a full size car" to "it weighs as much as a pickup truck but has the dimensions of a Compact Crossover" (equinox EV)
If they won't build it, I guess I'll have to look at the competition. They are pushing the EV's way too fast. The infrastructure to support them hasn't been established yet.
Another worthy topic for an episode is why wasnt the omega platform leveraged on other vehicles. Seems like a colossal waste of resources to only have the ct6 on the omega as it was a low volume seller. Why wasnt it put on a proper RWD based SUV. Mini Escalade. Absolutely criminal the incompetence of GM sometimes.
Thank you so much for the info regarding the "True" Black Wing engine. I worked for GM and Cadillac for 38 years. I own several Cadillacs including several V cars but the CT6-V is my favorite. It was an engineering marvel. Cadillac received 12 patents in the development of this car. The CT6 V is also the rarest of all V Cadillacs since the introduction of the V series in 2004. Cheers!!!
Owning a STS-V, I wouldn't buy a CT6-V. GM's support to rare vehicles is subpar. The CT6, especially in its last refresh, is a beautiful vehicle. Plus, you could not get leather wrapped interior.
@@mryouknooow Hello, I drove and STS V when they were new. I loved that car. Regarding support from GM . I think you have a point but the same goes for the STS V with the supercharged Northstar V8. There were a lot of parts that were specific to that engine. As for the interior I am very happy with the interior of my CT6 V and with, 550 HP, 640 Pounds of Torque, AWS, and AWD, I will take the added performance and handling over a full leather interior. Enough of the names please, it means nothing what Chevy calls the models, what does it mean? What technology advancement does the new models have? I don’t get the impression that this guy knows trucks..
Some of the changes are dumb , gear shifter on the steering column , a mode button replaces the centre console dial , as far as debuting mid 2024 , it is now past that. GM fails again.
