As a crazy Englishman, I wish we played entertaining confident football regardless of results. I've just felt embarrassed with their performance in every game. 🤷
I agree, thanks for standing up to him. He made the right choice. RSL is lacking depth, especially in the role he plays for his club. I can’t believe they are dragging him. There is no reason he should have been left out of the roster and when asked to be an alternate which could cause him to miss 4+ games and not even be able to play for the USA. He’s a dedicated, loyal player and a hard worker and the pundits and ex players are protecting the failing ussf management with their lack of accountability.
I hope so, and I think so, too. I just hate to think that ESPN would be able to push the idea that this guy is selfish without truly knowing why he did what he did as if it's anyone's business.
I live in Canada and I'm puzzled about them advancing to semi-finals lol But yes, agreed 100%. I'm surprised there aren't thoroughly defined rules regarding handballs and VAR reviewing for it.
Not a handball, you kraut. Cucurella was trying to make his frame smaller but his arm was caught out as he was trying to put it behind his back. But yeah Handball rules are so weird and inconsistent that I've mentioned time and time again in the Discord.
I'm not feeling the same optimism as I have in prior tournaments under Southgate. Yes we've been dull v "weaker" sides in the groups in other tournaments but normally by this stage we've shown something that lives up to the potential of this squad. I have a bad feeling about Saturday, as I did v Slovakia, especially given the Swiss players always turn up in tournaments. Can't see us changing anything and head says we'll get knocked out... That being said, our H2H record v Switzerland is... Well almost impeccable. Heart is relying on that apparent hoodoo over the Swiss: 2-1 England
Like you guys said, unfortunately, England, like France and Germany, aren't exactly playing their best football atm. In my opinion that's the same hole Italy finds itself in right now and look what happened to them. Regardless, I'll be rooting for England and I'm confident they'll score a couple 🏴
The US should've had him fired after the WC, but i guess they wanted to prove a point by not bending the knee. At the same time, he's been terrible for the US and its clear the US team needs a revamping and a complete tactical overhaul
Genuinely surprised they rehired him I'm sure his contract was up after the WC they could have just kept it that way its almost like the reynas done him a favour and got him a new deal
Keeping Berhalter just to prove a point wasn’t worth sacrificing a Copa when they could easily have made it clear that the abuse allegations had nothing to do with the decision
100% they had to bring Berhalter back because of those epitome of US soccer parent assholes! I wonder if we missed the mark by not getting Marsch when they could have? But at the same time with the stakes and expectations of the WC 26 here in the states with this team, I think they def need to go big and outside the US system.
England fans rooting for England to lose is depressing. Cant see any other countries doing the same. Southgate is gone after this tournament regardless. Nothing is gained by losing. Tripper has been poor bc he's not left footed and is tired. It's totally southgate's fault.
The French flag mask is fucking abysmal. Mbappe deserves to only wear TMNT mask. Also to add to the England drama, Southgate clearly is out of his own depth due to his complete inexperience in making a actual formation and tactics that benefit the squad as a whole instead of a select few like a Bellingham,Foden and Kane
@TheGloryHunters I mean Fifa doesn't allow it cuz it looks like shit, plus I'm sure the real reasoning is political, they want to keep any crumb of politics out.
I mean the criticism isn't unwarranted, Kane has pretty much ghosted this Euro. Kane is a striker his job is to score goals, but it is Southgate who's pretty much FUCKING over Kane by putting 2 other players who are offensive and will look for a goal. Foden and Bellingham don't compliment Kane.
I mean, shocking that a professional football player loses his mind, not really, Football is high intensity, plus I blame the coach more than the players. Plus not the worst, act of aggression on the pitch, it looked like there was a bit of provocation from the Panama player, but still unacceptable to push that violently Also count the jumpcuts in the video, and take a shot.
Nah it’s seriously unprofessional to be that big of a star, and jeopardize helping the team at all. He literally lost all the momentum for the USA and it got desperate. Garbage turn of events
