I very much agree, on paper, there's no reason this French side shouldn't win the Euros. If they need a goal and Mbappe is shut down - Giroud is more than capable of netting them a few (Deschamps also loves a target man). That being said, you could say the same about them in the last two Euros. As Switzerland, Hungary and Portugal (x2) showed (and Tunisia to an extent at the 2022 World Cup), its not played on paper and France are historically weird. Something I love about this sport is someone can "just have a feeling" team X will beat team Y and its not necessarily insane reasoning. They're rightfully favourites, but it wouldn't surprise me if they failed to beat one of Austria/Poland (I think they will) in the groups or get knocked oy a solid defensive display.
