Hello, want to ask a basic question. Can I connect Intel ARC A770 GPU in PCIe 4, as well as in PCIe 5 also? And due to higher processing speed, the GPU will perform better in PCIe 5 slot? There won't be any support issue? Please correct me if I've understood it correctly.

My videos are encoded in the VP09 thing and also recorded and exported in 4k. Still has abunch of that added grainy blurryness to the videos.... No idea.. It is mainly in footage a post recorded with my drone, the ground looks like waves of blurry-Ness lol. Looks normal on my computer, but crap on youtube. Thanks, great video!! , I’ve made the same mistake from 2019 when I built a new PC with Threadripper 1920x… This time I bought the 7900x3D for gaming&editing(as an new youtuber)…I started having second thoughts about it…thinking 7800x3D would’ve been a better choice… I am still waiting for my PC(tomorrow most likely) & I hope it will turn out OK. In the end I guess as long as it keeps games at 144+ FPS its good 😭. And 350 fps vs 250fps doesn’t make any difference… I’m curious how it will perfrom with streaming and playing , if the CPU will allocate the right cores,resources for the best results…. Well the deed is done.

The amount of delusion to think any zen3 cpu could beat a 10900K with b-die 4400mhz ram is nuts, it can't even beat its 1% lows at stock. 9900KS/10900K with b-die were already as fast in games as 5700x3d in 2018-2020, and both had better snappiness than any amd cpu. Zen3 was more solid in productivity and it mostly tied intel for the first time, but that's it. Seeing how people here believe 5800x3d can beat 12900K and matches 13900K is damn amusing , your audience is probably made of HUB/GN "enthusiast" viewers than power limit and xmp intel cpus. In reality tuned 12900K setup runs circles around tuned 5800x3d. 13900K with fast ram beats tuned base zen4 by about 20% in games, and slightly edges 7800x3d in overall lows stability, without having a huge cache lol (I agree that 7800x3d is better value). Their zen5 raw power is yet to just catch up. The entire video is a fanboy exaggeration video to me, sorry. They're both equally good, AMD better value and efficiency, Intel is faster in every way.

Prices are actually going up so I don't think it will be a buyer's market for long. I noticed recently that the cost of a 1tb SATA SSD has gone up by 50% to $60 in the past 6 months when I was reviewing purchases. The industry always overcompensates which is why we are stuck in this boom-bust cycle. The recent one started with the 2020 mining boom. Demand skyrocketed and so did production but by they ramped up production too much and sales started to stagnate. So they cut production drastically and will overshoot the mark and in another couple of months there will be another artificial shortage. Whether deliberate or out of incompetence, it hardly matters to the end user.
@GraybeardGiffTech
@GraybeardGiffTech 6 месяцев назад
Samsung, one of the primary makers of modules in RAM and drives has been saying for six months they’ll be raising wholesale prices by up to 50% in 2024, so drive prices have gone up. As far as boom and bust, you’re totally correct. Everyone has already forgotten about the original Bitcoin situation, you couldn’t get a GPU then and prices went up. However, there was no pandemic so demand and prices didn’t get as bad as the last time. Relatively speaking both CPUs and GPUs, popular models, can be had for decent pricing right now and AMD is being kinda aggressive so folks will buy their cards instead of a Super.

I moved to 1440p about a year ago. I was using a 2070 Super and now using a 3060 12GB, which is pretty much openers for a good 1440p experience these days. It handled Slowfield just fine at stock settings because the game is too unstable for overclocking. It was a 60+fps experience, with some dips into the 50s in New Atlantis and most combat seeing 80-90fps with medium settings which is plenty for me. I was even running it with my old 2600 at the time, not my 5600X. It convinced me to sell the 2070S. Benchmark testing showed they were pretty much neck and neck. The rankings on TechPowerUp are wrong. They underrate the 2070S and overrate the 3060. I briefly tried 4k, courtesy of a Samsung 43" TV which obligingly bit the dust after about 3 days, allowing me to return it and get what I really needed. It really isn't worth it for 4k IMO. You spend a lot of money or have low framerates and I can't afford the data to stream content at 4k. 1440p is the new 1080p. Got a 43" LG 165Hz monitor with G Sync for under $300 out the door on sale. I remember buying a GF3 Ti500 right after launch for $349 and thought that was a lot. Previously I had spent about a max of $150 on GPUs/video accelerators. That's how much my last 2D card (Diamond Stealth 64 VRAM 4MB) and RIVA TNT (which got a huge price cut within 6 months of launch because the TNT2 was released). Back then, there were a lot fewer sales, development and production costs were higher and they surprisingly didn't take advantage of the situation. There was solid demand but nowhere near what it is today. There were no issues getting a brand new GPU, the week it launched, at best buy in 2001.

Also according to rumors Intel should release Batllemages to shake a bit mid-tier market this year too. The only bad thing is there is no RTX4060super - the most popular budget segment of the market is still overpriced and Nvidia keep on selling that "4060" with a specs of "1050Ti/1650" for $300+ and I hope that "success" of RX7600XT will be a cold shower for both AMD and Nvidia.

Valid point about the number of users for smart phone gamers. The GPU reality has kind of always been there haven't really been very many brands other than AMD and Nvidia. It's just so expensive to get things spun up.

@@GraybeardGiffTech Yep. It's not that it's a small market per se, just that it pales in comparison to some other tech markets. There's tech giants out there who COULD get into the PC gaming market - but they're already working on other, much larger markets. So why enter a smaller market that's already dominated by established brands with a head start? Props to Intel for going at it! And I guess that one chinese manufacturer that's trying to get going.

How has that worked for you? Any issues? Anything that you have loved from AMD? One of kid's PCs has a 6650 XT in it and there have been zero issues to date. Can't say enough good about for the price I paid.

Assuming you switched over from Nvidia? Do you miss anything like DLSS or my fps for Ray Tracing?
