Hi i needed some help with finding the correct airbag for my 2010 polo 6R, the steering wheel im looking at is a non mfsw and the part number is 6C0419091, it's the gloss black 1 without buttons, can you help me with finding the correct airbag for my car that will fit this steering wheel, as iv read the original airbag for this wheel would not work with my polo, i have no clue if thats correct or not, its similar to your steering wheel difference is yours has a round airbag cover and the 1 i'm looking at has the oval/heart type shape.
Tbh I don't remember what the quality sounded like previously so I can't give you a solid answer as to if this one sound better or worse. But it sounds alright to me 🤷🏿♂️
I used super glue. I only used a very small amount spread across it as I didn't want it to be stuck on there too well because if I ever wanted to remove it I wouldn't want it to damage the material beneath it and it would also make removing the glue residue easier.
hi i was considering buying these after seeing your video after doing some RU-vid search, i came across a video from Vland channel and someone commented that these lights are illegal in the UK, which has now made me curious to know why their illegal and what makes them illegal in the uk?😕
This is the first I'm hearing this so idk if they are illegal or not tbh but I don't think they are. If it turns out that they are then I'm also curious as to why 🤔 Maybe they are like headlights which have left hand drive and right hand drive versions and the way how the left hand drive ones are setup would be illegal in the uk but the RHD would be fine ? Idk but that's just a guess
@@RCS_716 This is from Vland Europe official site, i know there's 2 versions smoked and red, can you give your thoughts on it please. NOTE: For the Red edition, the turn signals on the tail lights should be Amber but due to lens material, the turn signals will look Red. Please confirm with your local regulations before you buy. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--CRJVXVPYEk.html this lad installed the red versions in the uk, if you go to 8:20, he will show the indicators but they look amber and not red from the video, so im confused. what do you think, do they look amber or red?
It doesn't look red to me, looks how it should imo ( especially at night it will definitely look amber ). Maybe vland say it might look red just as a precaution? 🤷🏿♂️ Do they say anything about the Smoked ones or just the red lense ones ?
@@RCS_716 just a special note for the red ones, it confused me cause i kept seeing comments on other videos saying Vland tail lights are illegal but no explanation to why, ive got a question for you regarding the smoked and red tail lights, i have the pepper grey polo 6R and was wondering which colour tail light would look the best with grey, as you seen the red ones and you own the smoked ones, from a personal opinion, which do you think would best suit a grey polo?
Pepper grey, that's a nice colour 👌. Personally I'd go with smoked with the grey but that might be a bit biased as I just prefer the look of the smoked lights more. But I feel like the smoked would give the back of the car a nice stealthy with the grey.
You just need to turn off the fast boot option on the headunit, with fast boot enabled it puts it in a sleep like state so it's never truly off so when you start the car it boots up instantly ( but that will drain your battery over time especially if you don't drive your car regularly ) but if you turn that option off then it will turn off the headunit properly and it won't drain the battery but it does take longer to boot up.
You could but the zip tie is much easier as you'd have to probably squeeze the ring much smaller than it's meant to be as it normally goes round the plastic on the shift knob and not directly on the metal shaft.
@@RCS_716 gotcha, i just, saw more such videos an everyone is using a zip tie and for some reason i cant unsee the part where the zip tie holds it, looks so “unnatural”/bad, id love custom knob but this is kind of a deal breaker for me sadly:(
I love youtube. You can search for a very specific mod on a very specific car and someone will have a video with explanations on how to do it. Thank you very much for this video man, you rock
yo ive installed it using brown and red cable(from f1 light black and yellow), it works perfectly fine when ignition is on as soon as i start the car F1 light goes off and does nothing. Any ideas what wrong?
If not, connect the red wire from your f1 light to your taillight light ( not the brake light but the normal light that comes on in your taillight ) and then see if it works.
I bought my polo with a different radio in it it had a metal bracket holding it in place . does this one still need the head unit bracket or will it just fit in normally , hope that makes sense not sure how to word it
I didn't plug them in because I already had a usb port I put in myself but since then I've connect the usb that came with the headunit so I can use wired carplay and android auto aswell as the wireless. I made a video of me doing it but I never finished it, I'll see if I can find the footage and finish of that video and I'll upload it
@@RCS_716 thanks mate , and just to double check , this is a wireless apple car play isn't it ? i.e I don't need to connect my phone to a usb to allow car play to work?
Yes it's wireless. You do not need to connect any cable to your phone to use the carplay or android auto. But you can use a cable if you want to ( but I don't see why you would since using the wireless is so much more convenient lol )
I have a 2012 1.4 polo I connected the wires the same way you did, when I put the ignition on the light goes on and when I press the break the light does the strobe effect but once I start the car and step on the break there's no strobe, why doesn't the strobe effect work when the cars started thanks
If you've wired it up exactly as I have then I'm not sure why it's not working when the car is on. Is the f1 light on when you turn on the car but just doesn't strobe or is it completely off ?
I didn't make a video on it, I just posted about it on instagram. There's a few mods that I did and haven't made videos on them, I might end up making a 1 or 2 minute video for each of the mods I didn't make videos of
Hi, do you happen to know your paint code? I have the same colour as yours but I can't find the code anywhere in my car, can it be VW LA7W? I'm trying to make the back logo black and the "insides" silver like yours, thanks
You could do what I did at 4:00 - 6:00 but just in reverse or you could do something like I did in this video here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T5WR4qcaiB0.htmlsi=WhEsHXcDr8TzVcrG
Thanks for the info, Ive watched a few videos and you're the only one to go through the priming stage, One other kind of mentioned it but didn't show it. You've just saved me £90 at a local garage. Thank you
My car doesn't have parking sensors so I can't say foe certain but I believe the sensors will still make a noise and the bars will probably show you how close you are to something but you just won't see what your close to 🤣
