All the hobbies that keep me in Debt! ("DebtLife Projects" 2nd channel)
Welcome to my second channel, where I'll be posting videos about the hobbies besides my main one (Cars, on the main channel)! I have way too many hobbies...Warhammer 40k, Fish tanks (reef tank, cichlid tank, turtle tank), Custom PC building, and more, all do a good job at keeping me in debt lol...
Make sure you SUBSCRIBE to this channel to stay up to date with all of my hobbies and see what new ones I might pick up!
Will this lower the pH my current tap water is 8pH for my freshwater i need to figure out a way to get it closer to 7 or 6.9 pH will a system like this help or just make my water worse.
Yes so something I figured out recently, is that the metal in tap water can make your ph flux, so if you add tap water to your tank with ph down, it’ll stay down for a couple of hours then it’ll rise back up again. What this system does is, it takes out all the metal so if you want to reduce your ph you can. And it’ll stay low to where you want it as well.
I'm new to this, but where is your 4 gal. holding tank w/faucet and how are you able to change out those filters in such a tight space ! ? Least you have a garbage disposal as I do because most videos selling these units don't have them, leading us to believe there is more room under the sink 😂 so that's a big issue for me with this type of system ! ?
I need 1 of these problem is I need a 100 litres for my weekly water change and I don't have a huge amount of time to do it. Is there any way to automate the filling process? Cleaning the gravel and draining the water is quick enough
Good stuff. Just set mine up and came here to check my work. By the way BRS recommends that we keep the flow gate open for three to five minutes before and three to five minutes after we make RODI water to ensure the life of our membranes. Tip for all. Got the 6 stage. Wonder about that 7th stage now...
I have a 5 stage ro system and getting ready to setup my daughter's fish tank. My ph from my ro is between 6.0 & 6.4 and my carbon filtered water from my tap is 7.6. Just curious what your ph is? Thanks!
Pretty much anywhere. All the major online retailers sell refills, as well as your local fish stores. BRS sells the refill kits for whatever stage you have as well.
Sorry for the late response, but it's working great! Stays nice and cool, and providing really great par for the corals i've started putting in the tank! I'll do an update video, with some par measurements, and i'm going to be doing more videos on this channel soon. Been focusing on my car channel, but more videos are coming here, starting a new reef build, and i'll be doing videos from start to finish!
All Ati bulbs, from back to front, 1x blue plus, 1x purple plus, 1x coral plus, and 1x blue plus. Provides great par, i'll be doing an update video with par measurements soon. The light looks weird in video, in person it's perfect IMO. Ill grab a filter for the update video, maybe that'll help
Your light might be too bright, algea thrives on light.. maybe turn down and/or limit the hours it's on. Great video! How's the RODI system working? You end up getting the pressure tank?
I havn't, but I probably will. The system works great! Takes around an hour and a half to fill a 5 gallon bucket, not too bad. But I will end up getting a booster pump, see if I can help out with the time and waste water a bit.
Oh sweet, thanks for watching! I appreciate it 🤘 Got some more coming for sure! Been focusing on building my truck at the moment lol, one money pit at a time 😂 I have a channel for that as well, if your interested, "Debtlife Projects". That's my main channel that I post the most on
