Good stuff. Just set mine up and came here to check my work. By the way BRS recommends that we keep the flow gate open for three to five minutes before and three to five minutes after we make RODI water to ensure the life of our membranes. Tip for all. Got the 6 stage. Wonder about that 7th stage now...

While is running the valve have to stay on or just for a few minutes ( black pipe ) if I close the water don't come thru

I have a 5 stage ro system and getting ready to setup my daughter's fish tank. My ph from my ro is between 6.0 & 6.4 and my carbon filtered water from my tap is 7.6. Just curious what your ph is? Thanks!

Perhaps already mentioned, but a plastic tub containing all your components is cheap insurance against minor leaks.

I need 1 of these problem is I need a 100 litres for my weekly water change and I don't have a huge amount of time to do it. Is there any way to automate the filling process? Cleaning the gravel and draining the water is quick enough

I was told once a year is recommended, but that may depend on how bad your tap water is

I'm new to this, but where is your 4 gal. holding tank w/faucet and how are you able to change out those filters in such a tight space ! ? Least you have a garbage disposal as I do because most videos selling these units don't have them, leading us to believe there is more room under the sink 😂 so that's a big issue for me with this type of system ! ?

Will this lower the pH my current tap water is 8pH for my freshwater i need to figure out a way to get it closer to 7 or 6.9 pH will a system like this help or just make my water worse.

Yes so something I figured out recently, is that the metal in tap water can make your ph flux, so if you add tap water to your tank with ph down, it’ll stay down for a couple of hours then it’ll rise back up again. What this system does is, it takes out all the metal so if you want to reduce your ph you can. And it’ll stay low to where you want it as well.

Did you compared the waste water flow and the filtrated water? In my home the waste was a lot more than to the filtrated water

This is normal, depending on how hard your supply water you can expect roughly a 4:1 ratio of waste water to ro water

Pretty much anywhere. All the major online retailers sell refills, as well as your local fish stores. BRS sells the refill kits for whatever stage you have as well.
