Ok, this is great and all, but can we get the story where the doctor has his timeline messed up so badly that it becomes in continuity with the old comics with Jillian and John with the doctor being from the 50th century earth and the companion trying to fix things with a cliffhanger that’s the villain trying again and the doctor is somehow a guy played by the worst actor ever who lives in a split level and pretended to be a doctor for money who has the cops after him while the companion goes after the villain, that would be a “great story”.
I imagine it would be something like: War - The Warrior 9 - The Navvy 10 - The Lover 11 - The Fairy Godfather 12 - The Storm 13 - The Ray of Sunshine 14 - The Family Man 15 - The Fashionista
@@AshF724She does get love in the story itself as 8 mentions that he sees a 'rainbow' of possibilities in his future, obviously referencing the rainbow on 13's shirt.
Awesome Tom Baker Came back for this it's Great that he is doing Big Finish Audios but I Just wish The BBC could Find Someway to get him back to the Series.
I love how The Annihilators is included as just another adventure in this montage. Especially since that was the story that raised questions of why Two was travelling with older Jamie in the first place.
it helps that Paul has aged well into the role. I've always been fascinated with the development of the Eighth Doctor and how he had the opposite changes of most incarnations; he *started* as a romantic, peaceful adventurer and grew up to become a tired, grumpy old man.
When I first saw that Annette Badland would be voicing The Toymaker, I was curious how she'd portray him. Judging by this clip, she puts on a great performance and is quite chilling much like David Bailie. Say, i don't suppose you could upload a clip from Classic Doctors New Monsters 4?
@@KamelionFan27 Well, for spoiler reasons, I won't say it. But it's from the story The Queen of Clocks. If you know the twist, you probably know what scene I'm referring to.
One of the reasons why i love Monsters in Metropolis is because of how unique it is. Normally, Cybermen stories feature multiple as the main villains. Here, this single Cyberman is a victim, and this scene shows that beautifully. Especially considering what the film Metropolis is about, when it came out, and the dark storm that became known around the world.
i really liked this story, if spare parts is the cyberman equivalent of genisis of the daleks then monsters in metropolis is the cyberman equivalent of dalek
@@jackmozenrath135 According to The Giggle the Toymaker hasn't played a game against the Doctor since TCT, which would make any encounters in between non-canon. However, the Toymaker alludes to rewriting the Doctor's timeline too.
@@KamelionFan27 that is what my thoughts were as well, since that's his only other appearance. Is that story good? I've not gotten the summer field line yet
The emphasis on The Doctor saying, "Don't!" Like, even the soundtrack stopped, like the entire soundscape was intimidated. That is some excellent ambience. But also, he fully hugs The Brigadier!
Yeah, this scene highlights why I doubt that The Doctor will ever forgive The Monk for the deaths of Lucie, Tamsin, and Alex. I'm pretty sure that even a few regenerations later, even though they were the only few Time Lords left, he hasn't forgotten or forgiven him/her.
@@potsdam28 The Monk definitely should. Besides, RTD also said that they're going to be taking a break from The Master. Which could mean that there might be hope.
Ironically enough, the Monk blamed the Doctor for Tamsin's death despite the fact that had the Monk not interfered with the TARDIS' arrival, the Doctor could have stopped the Daleks before things had gotten out of hand
@@Daldi564 That's also another reason why The Doctor loathes The Meddling Monk. He's never willing to accept responsibility for his actions or the consequences of said actions. Not to mention his irresponsibility.
@@MiguelGarcia-tg2km There are some Rani shaped rumblings, the Doctor said her name which might indicate that the rights were tracked down, and Mrs Flood fits the bill quite nicely. The Monk would be great too though, maybe a team up: "religion" and science united in a desire for mischief.
