"Inline fours don't look good, don't sound good, just good for going fast" (paraphrasing you). Do you enjoy proving yourself wrong?😄. Seriously, you have inspired me to look at my '78 CB750k again. The Manx tank was something I always wanted. The 4into2 exhaust was something I hadn't considered and deleting the airbox and replacing it with the undeniably sexy carb pods always intimidated me. You are a true artist my friend. Felicitări!
Another functional beautiful production of yours. It seems and appears to be very light please tell me how much this Weighs? Very much enjoy your creativity
Your videos are always enricking, but I generally forget to press the "like" button in reality and not just in my head. Finally managed it. Your videos are much appreciated my friend.
Very nicely done thank you. I still have my CB550F bought new in 1975 though it hasn't run in several decades. You've set a high bar for my restoration which I need to complete while there's still time.
@@motonisto I set mine up as a tracker with flat track bars and Kerker headers. It remains the best sounding bike I've ever ridden. I don't have the skills to do all of a frame off rebuild and restoration myself but there's a shop in Virginia not too far away that will do the work for about $10K. I was looking into that in 2017 when I saw a new leftover 2014 CB1100 for $6,200. A set of headers and some chrome bits to emulate the old 550 and it's an approximation. Better brakes and suspension with a hydraulic clutch and fuel injection it's better on paper. And though I love the 1100 it's just not the same as your first love. I'll make the 550 restoration happen one day.
I find the brackets to all be clever and useful! The mufflers look like slim goldstars! I honestly think it looks better than I expected it to.cheers ,
I have one comment for you about aluminum, if you use 7075 which is available on eBay all different thicknesses you will not have any cracking. It is superior strength corrosion resistance everything
I'm sure I asked you before, but what tank is that? Norton? Dominator or Commando? We have an XLH1100, 1986. Once we get a tank, I'll make the seat. It's really difficult figuring out which tank will fit and if we get one from India, we'd have to send it back if it didn't fit. Lots of time, money and very not green! Thank you! 👩🏻🙏
On the number 16 Sportster is a Norton Lyta tank also made in India, bought it for under 500. It should fit around the Harley engine and frame very well but you'll have to make mounts for the front and rubber support everything, otherwise aluminum will crack from vibration!
@@motonisto I'll be sure to share ... and in the meantime we'll follow your channel, and we'll ask lots of questions. I really appreciate the time you put in to share your knowledge and experience. It shows your passion!
Man,I was just wondering about this…we had spoken of it..maybe..a lot of whisky…that night…hahahaha..I can really appreciate the look more with the rounded corners…top notch.
You Sir, have built the Perfect Sporty Cafe...this is exactly what I am trying to build and your genuine builder ways are so much cooler than bolting on an overpriced off the shelf part. Love it and I love that people like us still exist. Keep on creating man. I also love you love all bikes, I have BMWs HDs and some Japanese stuff, but love my Euros and I love the complete opposite approach of HD..BMW "we will engineer the perfect part. HD 'fuck it, that fits"
@@susieroberts8175 I appreciate your encouraging response, sometimes I wonder why I spend time filming but then viewers like you let me know it's not a waste of time.
What does his manner of dress have to do with his credibility? He’s a biker,he builds bikes…he looks like a biker…I find your comment strange and kind of nonsensical…he’s built more bikes than you,I suspect…rides his bike all year all over the country… your bullshit comment ,makes less sense than his jacket…
Love to see a video of you getting gas or at a 7 eleven in the black Levi’s and fully zipped up leather greaser jacket. Show full front and backsides of yourself in them both
I'm attempting to make a 4 into 2 on my next Honda, the pretty 4 into 4 can still be found but it's heavy, complicated and pricey. I'll explain more in next video.
@@DANTHETUBEMAN I still have the stainless steel 2 into 1 collector for that job but like I said, didn't like the look. Besides, the bike is tuned to perfection as is, I consider this bike finished.
@@motonisto you did just what I would have done, I thought the clear return hose was clever, I might have added a aluminum carburetor shield. phenolic spacers are mandatory, get them for your carb but intake gasket. I have used them for years in hot for Chevy. cold dence fuel charge.
@@motonisto Friend, I wanted to understand how it works for you to stop when going up steep hills in terms of the brake you use because I saw that there is no front brake, how do you stop when going up a hill
@@leandrosantiago2968 good question, that's why it's called a "suicide clutch", when rear brake is needed uphill then transmission has to be in Neutral so you can steady bike with clutch foot and keep other foot on brake pedal.
Thank you very much friend, you answered my question, I'm from Brazil, I really wanted to do it on my hyosung gv 250, thank you for your patience, a big hug
