Another well done stylish moto bike completed. Rounding/grinding out the sharp lines on the fins adds to the smooth lines of the bike. Did you pull the motor in order to uniformly grind down the fins?
Sex on a stick! This is the best thing Harley never made! I absolutely love what you've done my man. Though I could never ride this, my neck doesn't go back far enough these days, due to crashing my mum's car 49 years ago. Sorry mutti. 😁
@@motonisto Originally it was to indicate that a person it really sexy, but also got used to compliment something. Teehee, it's kind of outdated, but then so am I.
Wow, great compliment! I'm working alone unless a flawless paint job is required by customer, but all designing, engineering, manufacturing and testing is one person
@@motonisto your welcome, im a harley guy myself, but love Ducati, aeromachi, cagiva , hell even BMW,, old bsa and triumphs, And you build screams nostalgia, I make videos myself, a lot with drone but some by bike, of your ever in the east Tennessee area want to ride the dragon or anything for that matter I'd love to video your bike.
Those mountains are some of my favorite U.S. areas to ride, incredible roads I visit almost yearly as I've 2 friends around there. I like all bikes myself except maybe most choppers haha!
@@motonisto I've put over 500k on my 97 heritage springer. And I bought a 2008 street Glide with the 110" tire shredder kit. Well technically I had another bagger 1st but 1st bike I bought new in 20 years I got rear ended on i 40 in Knoxville, woke up on a drunks hood. Pretty much walked away from it , lord was watching out for me that night
I'm sure I asked you before, but what tank is that? Norton? Dominator or Commando? We have an XLH1100, 1986. Once we get a tank, I'll make the seat. It's really difficult figuring out which tank will fit and if we get one from India, we'd have to send it back if it didn't fit. Lots of time, money and very not green! Thank you! 👩🏻🙏
On the number 16 Sportster is a Norton Lyta tank also made in India, bought it for under 500. It should fit around the Harley engine and frame very well but you'll have to make mounts for the front and rubber support everything, otherwise aluminum will crack from vibration!
@@motonisto I'll be sure to share ... and in the meantime we'll follow your channel, and we'll ask lots of questions. I really appreciate the time you put in to share your knowledge and experience. It shows your passion!
CAT scale shows 480lbs, full of fuel oils and battery (wet weight), but next down season I'm planning on aluminum laced wheels and a LiFe lightweight battery, hopefully she'll loose another 20lbs.
I took over 25 lb off of my 89 1200 Sportster by making parts from 7075 aluminum and replacing the steel parts with those super-strong aluminum that 7075
@@frankburdi1001every ounce helps, especially up high on the frame, I think the lighter and lower-than-stock mounted fuel tank made the biggest difference in how the bike feels.
After decades of riding I can estimate my road speed within a small margin. You KNOW when you're speeding! But alas, the tach RPM reading is constant with engaged gear and road speed, 3500rpm in top gear equals 70mph in this example. I'd rather know when I'm approaching red line and keep that engine happy.
@@motonisto well, that's cool, and yes, I can tell (more or less) my speed without looking at the speedo but around town in my country it's full of speed traps (radars) with the limits going from 30 to 45 to 60 and 75 km/h so you need to be very aware of your speed because the tickets are huge $$$!!🤪
