The idle noise is that normal for the car is that just how it is, I have one the same and it sounds the same and I was worried it may need a new belt or I’m just going crazy lol
Always trust a man that drives a Saab. I wish the Saab brand would get revived as an EV only product line. That being said this is the same spec Polestar I am about to order in the next few weeks. No need for the performance pack for most people. The pilot and plus packages are a nice value, and the current lease deals make this car that much more of a great deal
Fun car. Drove a similar one to prom, was my dads for a bit, then my sister got it. Very fun to drive on the highway. Handles like a dream, turbo feels so nice and id say it feels like it punches a little above its horsepower or at least feels like it
I love this video!!! I owned a 2004 XC70, then my 2008 XC 70 (also silver!), and I bought my white 2020 v60 a few weeks ago!!! I just got my 2008 XC70 detailed and it cleaned up amazingly well. I’m going to miss that car especially for the reasons you mentioned! Those seats!!! Such a gem. Whoever buys her will be getting a good vehicle. We are sad to see her go.
I’ve got an XC70 T6. It’s a very solid car, reliable and durable to a very high degree. Great cargo space, too, I have brought luggage along and slept in it at the same time.
Hello. I hope this message reaches you well. I’m thinking of buying a 2017 model just like yours that has 51,000k miles on it. After 5-6 years of driving of driving it and continuous maintenance, would you suggest it? I’m also thinking of maybe getting extended warranty but haven’t hearing about how bad those are 😅
interesting ... my 2006 XC70 gets 25mpg highway and I crossed a mountain range every day commuting to work. It handled sharp curves extremely well: I preferred it to my S80 for mountiain driving. The S80 has huge acceleration, even if you're already at 60mph, but my xc70 was no laggard either. Obviously had already gone down hill by 2008.
These differences forced me out of volvos into subarus after 30 years of only owning volvos for myself and putting all my kids in them. I've owned a 240, 2 or 3 740s, 2 850s, a 960, a v70, s80 and xc70. Still have a v70 (160K), xc70 (nearing 200K) and S80 (120K), but the latest is an Outback. If they hadn't completely neutered the Volvo station wagons as a utility vehicle (basically a small covered pick-up) I'd still be buying them.
Would you recommend this car and how much are you spending on maintenance a year? I’m looking at a 2014 with 90k miles but worried if I should get it or not. Worried it’s gunna have tons of things go wrong with it cause I’ve read up that it’s not very reliable.
brainwashing for people , why you dont talk about quality ?? Volvo is a real junk , i have electric Volvo 2022 , change battery under waranty new in the box ( MADE IN CHINA ) and now the electric motor is very noisy , new one in the box ( MADE IN CHINA ) i pay for Volvo and i get Chinese junk
Just bought the same one except for it’s black with the 17 inch wheels. Same top and interior though. I have a crack on the driver seat I’ll be having repaired. Other than that, it’s solid. The mileage is on the higher end at 158,000 but I’ve read good things in terms of long term reliability. Good look with yours. It’s really pretty and please wish my luck with mine. Lol. I love it so I’m hoping for the best.
Hi there. I have just recently purchased the same car as a daily driver. I’d always wanted one since I was a wee lad and they were called the 900 and I finally fulfilled my dream. I paid only 5k for it. The mileage is a tad high at 158k but it does everything it’s supposed to do. Certainly if it didn’t have 158k I’d have paid more than 5k for it. My budget for a car was 10k so I have some room for odds and ends and I don’t mind putting a little money in as it’s something I plan on keeping as they are only getting harder to find. Mine is exactly the same car save for mine has the 17 inch rims and it’s an 08 although 08 and 09 are identical. I can’t tell you how bad I wish GM didn’t let them go by the wayside. Saabs were super cars. Really. You also really hear that turbo whirl when you accelerate. Something gone from a lot of newer cars. I see this was 7 years ago. I hope this Saab is still going strong.
Excellent Video! I have a 2013 XC70 D5. It’s a workhorse for towing a 1400kg caravan for work purposes. It tows the van with ease and has shedloads of power…..you can throw the water barrels and all the stuff you need in the boot without even thinking about it. As you say it’s not great at going round corners fast but here in Scotland the chances are there would be a pot-hole on the apex of the corner so you don’t really want to be going fast round them😂 I recently spent 2 nights sleeping in it. 6ft 1 tall and I got an airbed in with the seats flat and it was brilliant. The only issue I have had with it is the Sat-nav system tells me i’m in Eastern Europe all the time. I have tried the software update but it asks for a licence code which I don’t have. Once the kids are older and My job doesn’t require me to tow, I will go for the V60 cross country as it is an absolutely beautiful car.
I have a 2008 Honda Accord V6/M6 and it is kept in a garage since new and never driven in snow and rarely in rain. A very spoiled and well serviced car, I love my Honda. You video makes me cringe with the winter driving.
