Well said Mark! We have educated tens of thousands of hard working men and women for decades on the hierarchy of fall protection. It is time for all of us to start focusing more on elimination, passive and restraint options. The hard reality is that no one ever thinks to themselves that they are going to fall and assume that if they are "tied off" they are good. Many things could go wrong with misusing the equipment, having the wrong equipment, not inspecting the equipment, force of the fall and then rescue. This industry is better because of you! Those who need the Day of Wrath to tell you how the TV is running in Chicago when you live in California or something to know that A Series of Unfortunate Events happens to people throughout all our lives, even if we aren't the victim of a crime. When people are victims of crime, what do they do that your emphasis on safety makes them Vigilantes from Texas named Chuck Norris rather than Ted Koppel?

There is a way in which the mainspring of the educational establishment doesn't know your pedagogical concerns well enough. In The Principal, with James Belushi as the principal of a war zone school with intense gang and racial issues and divides, you need to acknowledge the darkness, curse it, and thank God for the sun and electricity to shine light bulbs, in which is no atmosphere that is breathable. There is no such thing as a world outside a light bulb that knows that burnt out light bulb is the best thing for preventing from being involved in business beyond your real expertise. Why would I want to break the rind of a light bulb, turn it on, watch the filament burn only to point out that the inside of the light bulb is a world that only works because we can't be there when the juice is going in and the heat is on?
