If you can make a vedio about these subjects we will be so grateful: Toproof unit wiring. Commercial kitchen makeup air unit wiring and commercial kitchen hood wiring 🙏🙏🙏
Man, you don’t know how happy I am because I finally found this wonderful video that I was looking for for a long time and finally I found it on your wonderful channel. The most important thing that impresses me about your channel is the more than wonderful detailed explanation. How lucky I am because I subscribed to your channel on RU-vid
I would appreciate some guidance I have a communication wire being fed to an interface from the heat pump which then turns the system into a 24 24-volt system i have terminals G Y C C W W2 that go to the thermostat from there. then beside that on the interface, I have G Y C R W to go to air handler which has a water coil .. the air handler has terminals G C R W thermostat upstairs has terminals RC RH (jumpered) C Y Y2 W/E W2 G O B my problem is I cannot figure out how to send a signal to get heat pump reversing valve to switch over if I call for heat pump comes on but only supplies cooling same with when I call for cooling it still continues cooling any help from anybody who may have came across this would =b greatly appreciated thanks
Mike if you work on walk in freezer and coolers can you please make some videos about it Love the way you explain everything ❤❤ Thank you for everything
Thanks, Jersey Mike. I’m in trade school right now and you making so much more simplified. I understand thank you. I shared this video with other trade Comrads.
Thanks Mike for really making it easy to understand...just what I needed as I am learning how to read schematics in HVAC school... blessings to you...still following you from NJ 👍👍
Thank you Mike for this excellent and detailed explanation of the various wiring options. Do you have a video specific to duct smoke detector wiring system ?
Around 15 minutes into the video you disengage (pull the wire) on the high/ low limit switch. At what point does the control board detect a malfunction where as to to shut down the blower motor and systems? It appeared to stay running. Also in Philadelphia many homes have 14 wire with no ground; outlets, switches etc. not grounded. How would test power to ground in this scenario?
Blower stays running for a minute or so on those limits. Everything else shuts down. The idea is to cool off the heat exchanger. Is the 14-2 the old cloth wire in metal similar to BX? There is a thin silver wire in that stuff easy to miss that acts as a ground but isn't hooked up like a wire. But at any rate, if it's in metal the metal itself is grounded back to the panel in most cases. If not, you still will get a reading, but it may not be accurate. That was the issue in this video when I was only reading 43 volts off the HSI. Old knob & tube wiring with no ground. Another ground option could be a nearby water line or a gas line.
I have a Little Giant condensate pump and the company told me that it makes a difference which of the two wires coming out of Little Giant condensate pumps are attached to the air handler and the thermostat. One wire is for COM and the other is NO. From your video, it doesn't seemed to make a difference, which of the two wires are hooked up to the Air Handler vs Thermostat. Is that right? Thank you!
It's never made a difference for me unless you have other wires or terminals for an audio alarm or some other feature. But if it's labeled, might as well use them as they are labeled.
