Help please! - entire house interior trim and doors are SW 7517 Rivers Edge (new name for 2001 color). Can't change that but ready to change the 2000 beige walls from SW Knubby Wool. Recommendation please for warm white - Shoji White? Divine White? Egret White? Thank you in advance Kylie!
I'm not sure what color the builder grade white shaker cabinets that everyone is getting.. but it looks like it has extremely high lrv. Does that mean I should match the walls and trim to the high lrv of the white shaker cabinets? TIA, great videos

I painted my bathroom with it and the old shower insert that looked white to me started to look very old and yellow. This color definitely has pink and purple but also yellow will pop up and other ivory colors will look yellow and old

My question is what different finishes and type of paint do you recommend when using BM White dove on living room/dining room/entry/mudroom walls and the same for trim? Or a brighter white for trim? So what I mean is should I use flat or matte and then semi for the trim?
what about gauntlet gray for the top cabinets with nice moulding on top of it to make it the focal point of the kitchen, also extra white cabinets on the bottom ones to contrast a bit with etheral white walls? is it too crazy? i am a contractor and colors are not my thing, but I feel like the dark color on the mouldings on top of it could make it look really cool.
Hey! Usually, a kitchen can look a bit off-balance with the uppers being darker than the lowers - it 'should' be the other way around (but each to their own, for sure). Adding moldings to the top of the cabinets? Definitely, same goes for the little valance piece you can add under the uppers (that would hide under cabinet lighting). As for Gauntlet Gray, in particular, it still has some life left, but SOOO many people are getting away from gray (dark gray has a bit more life). In general, if it's for resale, I'd stay away from gray :).
My small bathroom has white bead board and Homburg Gray walls. It’s a beautiful green! This green really illustrates what a difference lighting makes - there is no natural light in the room. In cool light it’s a beautiful gray-green, it reminds me of rocks in a river on an overcast day. When I added warm lighting, it was awful - like an army yellowish green!
I have beige tile and Travertine tile in my house. I was looking at Asthetic White, City Loft and Windfresh White to see if it look good with my tiles. Sincerely I am still looking at the samples and wondering which will be best. Can someone help me on this?thanks.
Crazy question… really like the idea of a honey oak color on my kitchen island but the cabinets are dark cherry. I want to paint the cabinets white dove and the walls ballet white. Do you have a color you can think of to “mimic” the oak color. I have been looking at Monroe Bisque, Straw Hat and Dunmore cream. Of those colors which do you think would go best and not be too yellow just add warmth?
Or maybe White Dove on cabinets, Ballet white on walls and Barely Beige on island for a really soft addition of warmth? Then use some natural woven pendant lights?
Would Kendall or Chelsea look good with Manchester tan? I’m trying to do an accent wall for the tv and I want do a dark gray with the rest of the room in Manchester tan.
I just found your channel today and will check your other videos. I moved into my new house a year ago, and almost EVERY ROOM, including the kitchen and cabinets, was painted some shade of gray!! I used to love gray and still like it some, but I will definitively change some rooms eventually. Thanks for this video and I will check to see if there are others with some different colors.

I thought you said Ballet white went well with White Dove in another video. I am thinking about painting my cabinets White Dove and then the rest of the house Ballet White with White Dove trim. Is that a “hard No” for you?
I started painting Shoji white on my wall and it looks so drab and blah. I don’t know what to do, because I had an accent wall done in tricorn black and I absolutely love it . I’m stuck, have an open floor plan with white kitchen cabinets. Help
Any pale pinks that go with white dove? for a powder room? Also you should start zoom consulting like "Jacob Owens Designs" you would be amazing at it!
Hmmmm, thank you for this, I'm going to give that some thought! Did you do one with him and enjoy it? Anyway, pale pinks with White Dove are HARD. Because White Dove is soft and warm and a darker shade of white, it can be pretty touch with even NOT super pale pinks. The thing is, once pink gets light enough, it will make White Dove look a bit dingy and MORE yellow - it can be a really tough combo. Do you already have White Dove in place?
@@KylieMInteriorsPaint Yes I just had a consultation with him. It was a short call, I think that he has a lot of clients. I do appreciate his advice but I would have liked more details and understanding like you have in your videos. I'm painting a salon white, he suggested White Dove and then suggested that I paint the bathroom pink. I do not mind the color, but like you said finding a pink that will not make the white trim look dirty will be hard. I now want to paint the entryway pale and dark green, which also need to match the White Dove trim, so I'm feeling stressed again lol
Oooo, it can depend on the trim, for sure. Off the top, I USUALLY like to do kind of an off-white version of my wall color on the blinds (if my wall color is staying for a LONG LONG TIME). If you change it up every few years, you might consider matching your trim!
Q: interior unit with little natural light plus the green cast from the woods makes this unit even dreamer. What Is best paint color to lighten this up. Flooring is very dark brown with dark granite and white cabinets
Excellent video! Would White Duck walls work with Simply White trim and Simply White cabinets that have Taj Mahal countertops? Edgecomb Gray and Pale Oak are also contenders.
Gray makes me feel depressed like an overcast day. Also don’t like the yellow undertones in most beiges. So tough for me to to find my perfect match. I love that u incorporated so many different undertones.
I feel you. Hmmm. I sounds like you might enjoy the taupe or greige world. I mean, there's some gray in there for sure, but they sit in between gray/beige. There's also a color like SW Natural Linen which is a beautiful beige for those who don't want too much yellow! Compare it to something like SW Canvas Tan and see a nice shift from a yellow undertone to more of an orange undertone.
I have my entrance and hallway done in agreeable gray and the ceilings looks really good. I just finished a bedroom off the hallway painted it retreat by Sherman love it looks great. Wish I could send you pictures
@KylieMInteriorsPaint there's plenty of natural light. The biggest windows are east facing, but there is a large bay window on the west facing wall so there's usually plenty of natural light. Thanks for the response. I've been looking for a color that has some meat on its bones. I'm not a white or off white kind of girl.
