I have a small guest room that I painted entirely with Pure White. The room has an eastern exposure and I love how it looks throughout the day. Lighting warmth has an effect on how the room feels. The ceiling light is daylight, while the side lamp for evening is warmer. Overall, Pure White can expand a small room and then take it into evening as a cozy, warm space. It’s my favorite white. ❤
We did our entire house (modern farmhouse) in Pure White - flat on the walls/ceiling and semi-gloss on the trim. LOVE IT. It’s so versatile, but not stark or cold. Artwork really pops against the white background, but maybe that’s true of any white.
Good vid, Kylie! 2 additional things you taught me during my project with white paint: 1 paint your ceiling the exact same color (dont use generic white ceiling paint) and 2 use the same color white but higher sheen for the trim! BTW still waiting your review and use cases of my fave...SW Ice Cube! :)
I'm not sure what color the builder grade white shaker cabinets that everyone is getting.. but it looks like it has extremely high lrv. Does that mean I should match the walls and trim to the high lrv of the white shaker cabinets? TIA, great videos
You definitely can! Of course, you can do a new white, but expect the white of the cabinets to show your new white's undertones (which are USUALLY yellow).
Hi Kylie, We’re building a new house. I’m a big fan of yours and I’ve read almost all your articles, and have watched many of your RU-vid videos. Still, I’m having difficulty choosing what paint colors to use for our dream house. Our house is south-facing, but our great room & nook has 4 windows facing north. We wanted our house interior to look modern & minimalistic. We just love black & white colors.
Oh jeez, that's a big wishlist! For something like this, I would refer you to my Online Color Consulting, as that's how I support my family AND help homeowners! www.kylieminteriors.ca/hire-kylie/
Oooo, i wouldn't. Pure White could look dingy and off. It will also make the creamy white look more yellow in comparison. You might find this helpful... www.kylieminteriors.ca/the-16-best-wall-colours-for-cream-cabinets-trim/
I have a Jack & Jill bathroom with no windows. I'm going to do Pure white on the walls, trim and ceiling (different sheens) but then a board and batten accent in BM Revere Pewter. Does Revere Pewter go with Pure White? Thank you in advance, love your channel. ❤
