2 years to achieve our digital nomad goal (25/8/2024) Wish us luck!
I bought my son the soft drink package but us adults went pay-as-you-go for alcohol on our last P&O cruise which was 5 days. It worked out fine. We aren't big drinkers and we had 3 port days, so it wasnt worth it for us.
My home city...I agree China Town has had a slow death in restaurants, shops closing down. Always love ❤️ l Qvb and the Harbour. Enjoy your cruise, have fun and relax!! Safe travels Al and Deb
why are people stupid, Indonesia is not just Bali, stop comparing Bali with other countries, if you want to compare Indonesia with other countries, not just Bali, Bali versus Phuket only makes sense. Bali vs Thailand??? where is your brain?
hello mam how are you...I sell ROPONGGI baked bread at the Sindu Sanur night market...I'm waiting for papa and mama to arrive in Bali...don't forget to go to the Sindu night market and I hope you are always healthy
We save to go Cruising every year and we don't have all the new things , we love to enjoy life while we can & Cruising is our thing and Your travel plans sound amazing you go guys ❤
So happy to see you back on here :) Love your content. Would be really interesting to see a comparison of how much you have paid for all of this compared with what it would have cost had you booked it all through a travel agent or direct with each company rather than using third parties, I think you've saved a tonne, I love to book holidays the same way you do, I even have same folder hahaha
Haha those folders are perfect for travel itineraries! Pink too? lol I think you're right - we have saved heaps by booking ourselves. I always check the price for direct bookings but have found lately they are more expensive or if they are cheaper, it is only by $1-$2 whereas the third party site will include breakfast or a room upgrade, etc. Using Groupon to book a cruise was interesting - I wasn't sure it would actually go ahead because the RC site quoted the cruise as $3k more than the Groupon price for the same room type. They got back to me with details and I have logged into my cruise account and all is legit so I'm pretty stoked on that win! :D What's your biggest win?
You two are an absolute inspiration. So glad to see you back at it and creating more content. I look forward to watching your new videos. I hope you both have a fabulous time.
Hi Guys, are you staying in Pattaya central or Jomtien Beach? Some great night markets in Jomtien. We have spent 8 months over the past 2 years and have another 9 months booked in 2025 in Jomtien. I love researching and booking our travel. Currently in DaNang Vietnam very cheap living here.
Hey! We looked at Jomtien but ended up deciding to stay in Pattaya Central like we did last time. We definitely will take the time to check Jomtien out while we are over there. The night markets are amazing in Thailand, we love going! How long will you stay in Vietnam?
Look forward to seeing your adventures, you're so right about prices in Bali now, such a shame. Can I ask who you use for insurance for your travels? Many thanks 😊
We use our credit card free travel insurance normally for shorter trips. Not sure if they will approve 6 months or not but if they don't I will wait until I leave Australia and then use these guys: safetywing.com/?referenceID=25050123&Ambassador I'll let you know how we go. :D
Whoop whoop. You guys are back! We love watching your vids and are very happy to hear that you have a big adventure coming up. We'll watch it all but we especially can't wait for the Singapore stuff. We'd love to take our kids but the cost of accommodation is too pricey.
Thanks so much! Singapore won't be filmed until late November - but it will be done! :D We are staying in Chinatown where it is much cheaper. www.booking.com/index.html?aid=8069305 Look up The Southbridge Hotel. I've booked 2 nights there for $66 AUD It is basic accommodation and has a pub on the bottom floor. Not sure if they have family rooms though. The location was great for us when we went a few years ago. Hope that helps. x
Missed you guys. I will be in Away Camikala Legian 3rd week Aug. Then sanur for 4th week. I hope I see you. Just for a drink on the beach would be awesome.
Good to hear from you. Could you put links to your art websites up please, wasn’t sure what Al’s one was? All the best and look forward to seeing more clips!
Of course. The links are: www.readart.com.au and RU-vid: www.youtube.com/@ReadArt2u and my subscription site is: www.createable.com.au - it will open this week. Since putting the finishing touches on the website. :) Thanks for continuing to follow us! x
So glad you’re back again. Look forward to watching you travel around. We just got back from cruise with carnival splendour and heading to Bali in October. Hopefully we will spot you there somewhere
We will definitely be in Bali all of October - so make sure you say hi if you see us out and about! What was Splendor like? We will be onboard in a week!
Cost of renting a 2 bed flat in my City in the UK is about £1200 or $2400AUS per month - plus city taxes of £150/$300AUs - its crazy - would be very interesting if you can share cost of livings costs on the places you visit
Look up Murray Wilkinson bali,he is the best bloke to sort out your stay in Bali,or long term,if you watch his vlogs on staying in Bali, and long term,he has friends that will sort it out,I love these people, but obviously they didn't see the right people.
We have a vlog here from the last time we went. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MEbe3TtnDu8.html This time we will stay 8 weeks. Fingers crossed we fall in love with it! :D
Exciting! Surprised you aren't going to Vietnam. It seems everyone I know is heading there. I'm excited to follow along your journey! I'm curious to know whether you sold your house or did you rent it out? We are preparing to do long term travel too and have opted to rent our house out on Airbnb to pay the bills while we are away. Not sure that's the best option but I'm always keen to learn how others are doing it.
Hi, we have been traveling for just over 2 years now and rent out our place on Airbnb, it's worked out great for us. We have a local host who looks after the Airbnb. Currently in DaNang and loving life 🌴
@@travelingmoses hey thanks for commenting and sharing how it's working out for you. I thinking getting a host to manage it would be easier when you are away. Glad to hear it's going well and no major issues. And exciting to be travelling soon once our house is ready! We have so far installed a pool and separate garage to store our belongings in while we are away and will soon be repairing the floors and painting. I imagine this time next year we will be ready to travel full time. Looking forward to meeting other travellers and online creators 😁
Hey! Been to Vietnam a few years ago so will probably go back in another few years. :) Recently we sold our Forster house and paid that mortgage off and the mortgage of our GC house off. We also have a rural property in Baralaba Qld that we are looking to sell too. Link here: www.realestate.com.au/property-house-qld-baralaba-144288016 When that house sells we will pay that mortgage off and have some travel money! I would never sell my home to travel but would consider renting it out to fund travelling - my experience with Airbnb has always been positive. :) This time we have made an online art subscription for teachers and homeschooling parents of 4-12 year olds and hopefully when I open that up this week, it will help fund our trips! You'll see 'ads' in our videos for it....lol www.createable.com.au and www.readart.com.au are our websites. Hope this helps and I'm sure we'll bump into you somewhere down the track! xx
@@alandeb the art content is such a great idea! I wish you every success with it. And such a great option to sell some property to fund your amazing experiences. I so agree re not selling your primary home. It shocks me when I hear young families that decided to sell up and live in Bali on the proceeds of the sale of their home. Scary!! Hence the Airbnb idea. I'm a year off having my home ready to rent out on Airbnb. See ya on our travels one day. Thanks for inspiring me to find ways to get this dream happening.
If your apartments you're staying in has a kitchen, cook meals. Save heaps of money. Eating every meal in a cheap restaurant, when you're staying months in one spot, will cost a lot. Looking forward to your videos.
Thanks for the tips! Yes, we have a kitchen in Thailand and also one in Sanur. We prefer to cook but find it usually costs us more to cook overseas due to shopping in the supermarket. We will need to look for the local markets for our fruit/veg and seafood. :)
