I always try to do things like VISAs without services and agents too so I'm sure you know information from those who know by experience is by far best. Tell me please, can a long term stay VISA, like a retirement VISA, be had by converting to a different VISA from a VOA? I'm actually looking for a place to retire. I'm a writer too so trying to focus on writing is difficult while being inundated with all sorts of conflicting information. I'm 57 years old. Since focus is key ... I might check it out but which is the closest to immigration office, and most reasonably priced hotel, for which to start my quest? No maps avaliable. Phone is El cheapo but I have enough for retirement. Can a VOA be converted to a Long Term Stay type of VISA? Thanks Kindly...
@@knockknock1246 The B211, B211A or KITAS retirement visa might be a better option for longer stays. B211A is for official government activities, tourism, social and cultural activities, sport, business and commercial activities, family visit, journalistic activities or transit. You can currently work remotely on this visa atm. You get 60 days and then you can extend 2 more times (180 days) After your 180 days you can start all over again in Bali and apply for a new B211A toursit visa. So you could stay 360 days without leaving Bali. This 180 day visa can be repeated twice if you want to stay one year. But… every time you leave Indonesia the visa is voided and you need to start it again. If you plan to stay for up to a year with the entire time in Indonesia 🇮🇩 it might be for you. B211 is basically the same, one time entry, includes sponsorship and you need 12 month minimum on your passport. Best you look up KITAS as there are a few different types, they’re more expensive and are aimed at people staying 5-10 years. They keep changing too. They also have a lot more criteria to be accepted. Hi guy's, thanks for the video very informative and helpful to visualise the process. We are arriving tomorrow and will be staying 8 weeks 🎉 we chose to pay our VOA at the airport and we will extend the extra 30 days at the immigration office. My question is upon arrival and being processed, when asked how long you are staying for did you state 1 month? Or did you explain 7 weeks and that you will extend your visa during your stay? Most people would also need to factor in transport to and from Immigration 3 times. This could be up to aud60 by Bluebird. I chose to spend less and purchased an electronic 60 day visa before leaving Oz.....aud152. Different ofcourse if you have own scooter.
Good idea. 👍🏻 We used GoJek car from Sanur beach and it was about $4.40 each time. Hiring a motorbike was $10 per day. For $152 I’d probably look at that next time as an option for sure. 😊🌸Was it the B211?
Hi, thanks for your informative vlogs. We’re planning an extended stay (around 2 months but under 60 days) and I’ve been told you can actually get the 60 day visa, just like the 30 day visa, online. Is this not right and you have to go through a two part process regardless?
You can get a 2 month visa before you go. We are happy to pay the $50 at the airport and then extend when we are there. It is more convenient for us as we may decide to go somewhere else and then not need the 60 days. You can also extend the 60 day one twice as well ii think. Enjoy your trip! 😍💕
