Rad. I just found my minimal effort water boiling solution for car camping in the bush with my hound. Without spending any more on gear. This is perfect. I have everything already: Blowtorch ✓ Thing to stop torch from rolling ✓ Metal screen✓ Non flammable support for screen ✓ Lighter ✓ Water✓ Lifetime supply of children's artwork in the basement ✓✓ 👍

Nice project! I’m attempting to make some stools using your methods in the video. One thing I don’t understand though. This is my first experience with pocket screws. I have a Kreg 310 jig and I don’t really get how you did the pocket holes using a jig for the individual seat boards. The boards seem too narrow for that jig, at least set up according to how you would normally set thickness, etc. with wider boards. Can you please provide a bit more explanation on how you did those holes? Thanks.

Yea.. this just makes a fake bread board. Whole thing is locked in place, even if its not cheap construction lumber it would warp/split through the seasons.

This table arrived well packaged and on time. ru-vid.comUgkxn94T8Mu1iMnsLCMNOI9srXSsLkI4JXKW Like another reviewer advised, I pulled everything out and made sure everything was included (everything was!). I built it alone and it took me about an hour. The color is great and for the price the lift part works well. As others have mentioned, it’s not the smoothest opening/closing, but it works. The screws do show, but I plan to order white sticker covers if that bothers us too much. Really happy with this table! UPDATE: it’s been over a year since we got this coffee table and we still love it! It gets HEAVY use as our dining table, foot rest, and school desk. Over time, the opening and closing mechanism has gotten smoother. I added a new photo with the white screw cover stickers. They blend in perfectly and make it look a little cleaner. 100% recommend!!!

Simply gorgeous. Since I'm a 70YO Nanny I think I would do the conditioning/staining/poly on the wood before I put it together, then do some touch-up, because it's hard for me to get up and down off the floor. I'm building a new house and can't wait to set up my workshop so I can do some projects like this. A bench/stool/side table to match would be so pretty! Thanks for the ideas and very nice for you to let your little one help out. My Daddy did the same with me and it instilled a love of making things out of wood into my soul. God bless you!

Hi Adam, I know this probably won’t get read because it’s 3 years old but I’ll try. You mentioned after cutting the 42 inch long strips, to glue up the leftovers. And, that there would be roughly 12” remaining. Does that mean you started out with a 54 or 55” piece? And how wide was your original piece? Thanks and great box! I’m trying to build one myself. Cheers, Steve

yes looks very nice. Im not piling on here but a crosscut sled is desperately needed. Never cross cut wood on a table saw using a fence. (2:13 mark.) Ive got a broken nuckle to show for it. But other than that, a nice vid.

Not long. Maybe an hour of work, maybe a little less. The time is mostly waiting for the stain and glue to cure.

Great video you provided for others to be able to build their own, enjoy wood working, and end up with a great table to be proud of. I am looking to build a large building table for my office/hobby room upstairs. I build scale RC model planes. I am getting ready to build a 1/5th scale 89" North American P-51 Mustang. My table used previously (daughters study table going thru college) has worked great on smaller models but this one will require a length to fit a 77" x 42" plans to fit onto. So probably 7.5' x 4.5' or depends on widths of wood I use. Maybe buying a used table is cheaper. Sand and refinish it. Thanks again! Wow! Today you had 7.4K likes on your RU-vid video.

Plier is NOT a do everything tool. Try using the correct tool, for the job, so you don't screw everything up. You can tell someone who doesn't take care of their tool by the way they throw things around.
