my ex wife had a nightmare pregnancy as well. sickness, carpel tunnel in both hands then an 18 hour labour that had to go to emergency cesearan. turned out her pelvis wasn't wide enough to give birth. then 8 hours after birth our daughter started drowning as the c section doesn't clear the lungs of fluid. she turned blue and had to be crash cart revived before spending a week in icu. then a week after release we had to emergency evac the house due to the 2003 canberra australia bush fires which came straight at our suburb. it was one hell of a memborable pregnancy for almost all the wrong reasons. including a week of having to cook and prepare babies bottle on a camping stove. Daughter is fine and just completed a university degree this year.
Yeah; come to find out, he'd been cheating on OP with Anna for about seven months. Those close to hubby were umder the assumption that he and op Had alreadu separated and were getting divorced. Oh, and that the brother's accident wasnt as bad as Hubby said.

I almost lost my wife and first child. I came with in 12-18 hours of both them dying. He was born at 28 weeks. my wife had preeclampsia. It was extremely rough. I did a lot of the same thing you did. quite bitching about it.

um yeah nothing he listed off is her using him as a punching bag so bs on that point. nothing wrong with not wanting to have another kid but dont make stuff up to get out of it just tell her you dont want to go through that again. be upfront about it. all the things he listed are things that are possible in a pregnancy. I have nausea issues and i often cant get to a proper receptical because of how sudden it can hit i wouldnt even want to imagine how much worse morning sickness would be
So this short doesn't explain everything but the rest of the story he goes onto explain that she became super mentally and physically abusive to him during her first pregnancy.

I know someone who was on Depo. A rare complication was developing a SERIOUS allergy to almost any food. Yeah. She got it. Started on bananas and white rice. Each week try adding a new food. Bad reaction? It's on the naughtly list and that week is shot. One time she was at a commercial building and someone on the other side of the building, through a closed door, was running a cotton candy machine. Epi-Pen shot and off to the ER for her.

@josephhurst4902. Oh wait. My daughter in-law had horrible pregnancies. First one almost died from her blood pressure being 200/110. No I'm not lying. Thirteen years later got pregnant a second time. She was in the hospital for 3 months before they took the baby at 36 weeks. Every pregnancy she had to stay in bed for 3 months. Then they would take the baby at 36 weeks. Women are stupid.

So many people pretend to be want they think a person wants them to be. A friend of mine years ago told me how disappointed she was with her husband. She told me how he change after they had gotten married and asked him about it. He went from a nice loving considerate man to a mean overbearing tyrant that made her life miserable. He told her how else was he going to get her to marry him if he did act nice. 😮

He’s saying for a 1000 different reasons, he doesn’t want her giving birth again, her health, her sanity, his sanity, the fact that if she died she would leave her first child without a mother. If she wants a second child she can adopt. There is no doctor that wouldn’t tell her not to have another child after that first experience. Sometimes you need to listen to her body.
OK: So after the abusive crap show that her first pregnancy was, her kidneys were damaged and they both agreed that they were never having another child. two years later and she just casually says, "I'd like to try for a Girl this time." and gets weirdly religious about it, because they are not a religious couple. But she is all like "this is gods plan" and "god wouldn't let me die". When OP brings up the abuse from her last pregnancy she tries gas lighting him like an upper class Victorian street. Finally he goes to his brothers place to get some clarity, and his SIL tells him he has basically had his head in the sand, she has always been extremely manipulative, it just came out full force while she was pregnant. He has decided he needs to get divorced.
well pregnancy messes with your head too...not sure why they made the first kid since health issues and those pregnancy symptoms are actually standard for most pregnancies...including in healthy people yeah

This is almost exactly what I went through except we weren't married and we had a girl. We split when she was 3 and our daughter is 12 now and lives with me and her mom is 6 months pregnant with a boy and already kicked the father ( her new boyfriend) out of her house for not being able to handle how crazy she is while being pregnant. I'm so glad I'm not in a relationship with her even though I have been single since we split. She has been through 14 guys that I know of and every single case she splits with them and says they are the problem...
