Literally did this last week during league, right side was so eaten up, I started throwing a back up shot since there was more then enough oil on the left, and begin striking with it, never used a backup shot as a primary option, but it gave a huge boost in confidence.
The best part about me switching from 1H righty to 2H lefty... is that I've never encountered open bowling lanes that were completely toasted. As a righty, it's about 50/50 if you get a lane with oil on it, or if you'd have to practice with a spare ball. As a lefty it's 50/50 if it's fresh or if there's some carry down.
I love the channel, great content. Just don't think Jalen is a great fit for your channel. Your energy is much higher, and he just can't match it. He's a great bowler, but I think he hurts your channel. Just my opinion.
Thank you for the concise explanation. When I took bowling lessons (in the 1980's) we were all taught to NOT drop our shoulders. I've struggled with early rotation and late release ever since. At times, this even led to a number of different hand/finger injuries. And when I sought private coaches about 15-20 years ago, none of them placed such an importance on these elements either. It makes me wonder why so many important fundamentals in bowling have been kept "secret" for so many years.
I called it from last video, zero 9 pins! I had faith that Mikey was going to lock-in and smash the pocket. I didn't know he was going to split his week 1-handed vs 2-handed. It was great to see how versatile Mikey is, we all can only hope to attain that type of versatility. (commented as Cameron Wieland)
Great vid..I've bowled along time but apparently all wrong..only have 3 step approach and always end up pushing the ball out and spinning it to keep it on lane. Changing everything at once is tough
This content is definitely entertaining. 0 - 9 pins!!! Thanks for sharing your quest for 2 hands. Perhaps a plastic spare ball for at least that pesky 10 pin.
