My washer is at least 20 years old and the replacement motherboard didnt fit. LG changed it a long time ago and they don't make the older one anymore. I'm back to unplugging it when it doesn't work again. It's a pain but it still works.
First of all I think LG should fix there problem not the customer. I had this problem about a year ago. I did the this procedure and it was good until today. Now it won't stay on push buttons plug back in. So I took the advice from one person and that was the power strip. I have it on top of the washer when we to wash just turn power strip off hit the buttons and turn the power back on and your good.
I did same ad you same wacher tingy but it wont work for me it worked Find yestoday then after it wont uten on at all its werry ded its vist too much not sure way it wont turn on as it did wit yours but i tink we ned new it vist 1000 or somting my dad arent too happy about it trying too figure it out but i tink mabe have too call it in and mabe if we Lucky can fix it if not then we have too Get new som kinda suck its not Even ben 10 years yet
I thought, okay, this is some touch hole trying to see how many suckers he can get based on view count...but it worked. Thank you so much! My girlfriend and I would have gotten into a fight when she blamed me for the damn thing being broken..
My LG lt7300 does similar, the real fix was a connector bridge between the power button assembly and the main board getting compressed. this connector is right in the area you press the button. So no duh its going to get compressed. a repair person would have charged 600$ and replaced the main board. fixed with 45 minutes of troubleshooting and a couple of touches with a soldering iron. LG has lost all my respect. basic design flaws. This was "Fixed" previously under warranty for exactly the same symptoms with a main board and front plate swap. I would never expect a non-technician to resolve this simple problem. Boards should last decades not years or less.
If we made these in America with no limitations on longevity, we would make our friends in the Orient look like elementary school kids. Wish we could stop depending on overseas parts and labor...
thank you!!!! hahaha this just worked at my mom's!! I'm house sitting for her while she's on vacation and didn't want to stress her out.. at least I have a temporary fix she can use for the time being 😂😂😂😂
How do you know it the problem is the "Machine Control Board" or the "Machine Power Supply Board"? That part is not clear to me. Actually, I just did your quick fix and it worked..going out to get a surge protector. I won't know if the quick fix lasts...but I figure with all the disgust I"m having as the washer is less than 3 years I think...I rather to to the Home Depot and roll the dice on a new washer...it's Black Friday weekend...saw some between $500-600.
Great video, thank you. Now I’m curious what actually dies on the board. Seems like it must be a capacitor that went bad, can’t imagine why it would need a whole board. Considering it’s unlikely a fuse it would require board level repair , if someone wanted to save $200 Happening to my sister in laws washer, after every load (not even sure if it clears the cycle)
Thx so much for this. Mine wouldn’t power on, checked the breaker, wasn’t that, came here, found your video, followed your instructions, washer powered back on! Now I can tell my husband, I did a lil research and think I 😂 know what the problem is, so let’s order that part LOL Thx again 😊
Dang, I wished this worked for me. I was unable to get it back on with this handy trick. Mine will not turn back on and I have wet clothes inside. Yay me lol
Thanks, I did the the steps you recommended to get it started. I thought I was going to have to go to a laundry to do this load which I so needed. As for the permanent fix I am not sure it can be done even by a repairman. I have the matching dryer installed on the top of the washer so it is not accessible. The washer is 13 years old and never have had any problems previously. The laundry room is very tiny and it would be very hard for anyone to do anything in there. I will just have to do the unplug, etc and just wait until the dryer also dies and then replace both. Right now it is working and I will see how it goes for the next load. THANKS!!!
My husband is NO longer able to help due to strokes etc ... I want to Thank you because I can do things thanks to people like you... I Appreciate your help!!!!!
Thanks! Just found this and it worked for me as well. I think the button pushing is unnecessary. I unplugged the unit for 30 seconds and plugged it back in and had the same results.
My washing machine front panel looks like yours! I suspect model ID is different from WD-S16VBD in my country, Taiwan. Thus can’t find repair information easily. My original error code is LE, but this model doesn’t have hall sensor as general repair guide. Two days later, I cannot power up it, and I found people have same situation, LE first, and then cannot power up. Hope the issue is the same as yours
