I had zero idea about rice turning into vinegar. At one point, I was gathering salmonberries and got a foraging upgrade and thought "Wait! Huh? What did I do?" Thanks for confirming that you get points for gathering berries now because I thought I was imagining things. That's good extra incentive to make the time to go on berry picking runs! I also didn't know that you can tap the exotic trees to get Fiddlehead ferns. One of my favorite things in 1.6 are all the additional ways you can acquire coal. It's so much easier now!
9:30 I find this weapon very cool to "reskin" my current weapon within the forge. Then I can have my best sword with this texture. I also love this little easter egg. On my first time playing I found an Ancient doll and then I went into the mines (because I found a worm spot on the way to the mines and got the ancient doll) I then got to the lava lake the first time, and I was like huh why not try to throw it in. Not knowing what would happen. I got the pylon stone and I kept it. Then way way later I made friends with the wizard and I could enter his room. There I noticed the bottom part of a Terraria pylon, I then thought what if this is a little Terraria easter egg. And boom it worked and I was very surprised to get the sword haha. Terraria also got me into stardew valley. I recently did a lot of Terraria, and I thought, why not get every pet (or try to get them) and I got the junimo pet in Terraria. I also found the reference to stardew valley (because I looked online for Terraria pets on how to get them.) I then thought, why not try stardew valley, it's not that expensive. And I have been loving Stardew valley. Its super cool that these games have small easter eggs from other games. It's really cool that they all promote each other and have little references to other games :)
Great vids! I'm just curious as i play on my PS5, how on earth do you start off with a coop already and chickens? I'm in summer year 1 and still don't have any buildings
I hope everybody told you to pick mushrooms for the money, and build a chest for all the water you'll hopefully end up buying in bulk - lots of love from Denmark 🤗
❤🧓🏼☕🫖 hello sharky will I still be able to use the pots I created from the recipe that Evelyn gave me to use indoors, so I can still have my indoor summer setup and my fall setup and tea tree bush setup? That's my money maker, I set up two storage building's for summer and fall, one for the tea bushes and one for my cactus 🌵 so I don't work in the weather? Will I still be able to continue using the recipe for the indoor pots that Evelyn gave me For indoors? Laetittia 🧓🏼☕🥩
Have you tried Shinehill? Awesome game, amazing and unique storyline. I really think you'll like it. It's in early access and I've gone as far as you can in it but will definitely do more as it updates.
Hmm...I'm both excited and unsure. It looks fun, but I wonder how long with the content we see that you can stay entertained. Like, I would assume after a while that decorating reach a point where you are happy with what you have. And cooking/hosting meals seems like it could get old rather quick (or even tedious. I just struggle to imagine how I'd stay having fun all the way to winter, let along longer then an in game year. It will really come down to the price of the game for me. Though I'll probably pick it up eventually.
I was really interested up until I saw the combat. Looks like an extremely poorly balanced low-budget Persona clone. Maybe if they do some major rebalancing in later patches, but for now it looks more frustrating than fun.
Quite a cute game, going to look how it will develop further. Also, something interesting, the reason why we have is farming sim now is because the hobbit is not in copyright anymore as the Tolkien estate lost the court case a couple of years ago to renew the copyright on the book The Hobbit. So hobbits are now in the public domain, and developers with less budget can make games with hobbits instead of only the triple A companies.
Really enjoyed your take on 'Dreaming Isles'! If you're interested in more farm sim content, you might enjoy the City Guy In The Country RU-vid Channel. They have a unique perspective on games like this that you might find intriguing. Keep up the great work!
The lack of sprinklers hurts this game for me. I like working towards 'semi' automation in these games, and the sprinklers in Stardew was a big thing I enjoyed. Building up resources to craft more and more, better sprinklers, was really fun. The rain spell in Mistria isn't the same, because it uses mana (a limited resource). So I hope they add sprinklers.
Thing i like, jump, swim, bug catching, items dont disappear Animal system Thing i dont like Watercans dont need water Shops 24 7 Lgbtq+ implementation Colorist Animals with hats?!!
Am I the only one thinking that the whole point of Moon Jelly Festival is the fact that you have everybody come together on schedule so you can plan for handing out the best gifts? 🤔
I was saddened because the the art style is so good, and it has such a great premise, and a ton of potential. I was in the live stream, and it was just as confused as Sharky because there was no tutorial, no instruction, and only certain items were interactable, but nothing was clear. I'm hoping that when the full game releases in January 2025, that it will be better. I have wishlisted Dreaming Isles, and am hoping that it lives up to its amazing potential.
