So, the silver naturally envelops the stone? P.s. Your videos opening, when you bring your arms down, somehow reminded me of a scene from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, oddly. Call me strange, call me whatever. I have no idea how I remember a movie I haven't seen since I was 6.
I love this technique! Thoroughly enjoyed your video. Great instructions. Lol,... I'm not even working with silver yet, but I'm loving learning about it. Thank you for sharing. Love your channel!😊✨💖✨ Have you ever done cuttle bone casting?
Can I use any other real stone with this process ? It will be safe the stone? I know Garnet, diamond, zirconia they are strong . I try with this stone but not any other
@@anyotherkingdom lol,... I didn't think of the smell😅😂,...I guess it would be stinky! I still wanna try it sometime though. Yeah, I've seen the patterns can be cool. Also want to try the sand casting too. I downloaded your list of tools, so I better start saving my investment money for it. Thanks for taking the time to answer! ✨🙏✨😊 Hope you have an incredible weekend!💖
Fun to watch your week in blog style. I haven't worked on jewelry in a while,... Been on a binge of learning chainsaw carving lately. So yeah, I can relate to that whole dopamine release from new challenges,...lol.😂 Thoroughly enjoyed this vid though. Fantastic idea using the moldable plastic to hold your piece in place too! I love it! Also, I hear you on making the repeatable designs for brand and customers,... I need to work on that myself n find some things I can make on repeat. I also tend to make one of a kind pieces, so that's a great idea to ponder.🤔💭 I wonder if you could use the moldable plastic to create molds for wax, or if the wax would be too hot for it. It might be an interesting experiment. Thanks for sharing what you do.🥰 Always learning something new, and you spark a lot of new ideas too. Love your new wax carving pens too. New tools are so fun to play with!!!
I take my stones out before casting. If you want to cast in place there are a few changes you need to make to the design! I’d suggest doing some research there’s lots of info out there on how to do it. I might make a video about cast in place one day
Hey, I love your work nd your videos 💗. I live in India nd i be starting college this year but i wish to start my small business with that aswell.I tried searching for some jewleery making workshops near my place but i couldn't find any, i tried looking online aswell but didn't found much.I really wanna learn the art of jewellery making any suggestions like online workshops or websites i can learn from?🥺
I love to experiment and I ended up loving the effect!! I personally find carving very time consuming and I don’t like the thought of all those bits of wax flying around from filing and ending up in my lungs 😷
@@anyotherkingdom It's certainly an interesting technique with a unique look. My grandparents are from Fordyce and Huntly in Aberdeenshire. You don't come across many Scots on this platform.
@@anyotherkingdom Off the subject, I'm interested in knowing about your video setup. I've started a long term project and would like to document it by making videos for youtube. I can't get a new camera immediately, but in the future I will upgrade, desperately. P.s. my wife loves the hat you wore in your 4 year jewelry making journey video.
Hellooo I have no seen any data into how harmful it is for either human or pets. I make sure I work in a well ventilated area and wear a mask as a precaution. But people have been using these techniques for years in the industry x
I’m glad it’s helpful! Yes there is a temperature controller and I use it around 150 degrees for blue wax. You should play around though and find out what works for you xxx
Oh my goodness! That was just magical.🤯🪄✨✨✨ Squeeee!!! Such fun to watch! Did you say the original earings were electroplated as well,... Were they done in silver? I've seen the copper being done, and really want to try that,... But how did you get them silver, n then gold? So many questions for you. Do you need different equipment for different steps in the process? This was just way too fun to watch! Ok , I originally came to the channel to download the tools and equipment guide, and I got distracted by this video,...🐿️!!,...so, I guess I'll go do that now.😅 Still glad I got to see this. I love when things go right the first try! Love your happy creative space as well.😊 My creative space gives me that same magic corner to create and just be happy too. It would be nice to have it be beautiful, like you were saying, but for me the beauty is in the creating, and how I feel when I do. Your self made jewelry bench is great! Thank you for sharing all of this.😊✨💖✨🪄
They were originally gold vermeil but the earring post had broken so I removed the gold vermeil to expose the silver then soldered them together then made them gold again
You are fantastic!!!! I've been following your whole journey on social media as someone also trying to expand their creative skills - you are killing it!!!! Cannot wait to see more from you on here 💜
@@anyotherkingdom Are you putting them in art galleries like you were talking about? I love that for you. Your story is inspiring. I'm working on simpler jewelry right now. Soft soldering and such, but I would love to eventually move into silver smithing, and I really like the smelting and sand or other casting methods. Looks so interesting and fun.
@@kjirstenboucher9682 Yes! I managed to show some at a gallery called Galerie Paradis :) I'm hoping to visit in the autumn to see them in the real eeee
I loved watching this so much! Thank you for sharing your story. I fell in love with your jewelry and style, and subscribed quite some time ago to your channel. I am so excited to hear you're going to take on doing longer RU-vid videos. I would love to learn techniques and tools and tips and tricks from you. I'm so excited to see your future videos! 🎉🤩👏👏👏🥰
