I tried this technique and came up with assorted shapes. Yes, I got a lot of the same shapes as you, but I experimented with different techniques(?). I poured from a lower height, then from a higher height. I also tried different amount of silver per pouring. One piece from a larger pour came out really cool. Like a large semi cupped splat of silver. There were some pointy bits around the edges, but I may file those a little and make a pendant with a small stone in it. It was a lot of fun.

hellooo love i just wanted to tell you i lovveeee your channel!! i learned a lot and its great to see a channel which encourages to do silversmithing with more simple tools (which i have been doing for some years) thank you! the only thing which i haven't got my head around is finding the right blowtorch which has sufficient heat for melting silver chunks. Do you have some recommendations?

Hiya! Aww thank you so much for your message I’m so glad you like the videos. Ahhh yes I think this is so important to know that you don’t need hundreds of expensive tools to make something beautiful. It’s important to have a go!

Hmm so without a gas bottle and torch you’re gonna struggle to melt more than 3-4g of silver. But I would suggest getting one like I’m using in the video with the detachable butane bottle. It does take a bit longer but be patient and try to use your soldering blocks to reflect the heat back in on the crucible ☺️
