Thank you for directing me to the English subtitles. I hope you have Swaheli subtitles for Swaheli speaks who can't hear. Comment on passenger trains recently received by TRC. Almost all semi trailers here in the US have skirts. The skirts reduce fuel bills for the truck drivers by up to 20 per cent. Why? Eliminates turbulence under the train cars. So the passenger cars need skirts. Energy savings should also be gotten by having skirts on freight trains as well. Have yet to see freight cars with skirts here in the states. So Tz could be a world leader in that way.would love to see a proposal for a SGR line starting in Lusaka, up through western Tz to Uganda, South Sudan, Sudan and Egypt.
Cool I'm waiting to see one day the whole Africa connected to SGR One can travel all way from South Africa to Egypt through Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya Ethiopia... That way It will be a great story to count! ... Lol
Just came across your website after I've enjoyed following the progress of the sgr for three and a half years. However, you'll still a dozen languages with closed captions. But there aren't closed captions in any of the listed languages. Although my language is English, what I actually find most disturbing, is that you don't have Swaheli list so that Tanzanians who are Def, don't know what is being said either. Would love to hear about plans for a sgr linking Nairobi to Arusha and then on to Dodama. I also keep wondering why I don't hear anything about the SGR to Kigali. It willalso be interesting to see if a completely new line is built between Tabora and Kigomah, or if a dual track which can be put in place quickly.

The plans for SGR line to Kigoma and then to Burundi and Rwanda and Congo are already on plan and onboarding with the Tanzania Burundi segment will be starting sometime next year. The Tabora-Kigoma segment is also in preparations and ready to go.
Please, allow me to reuse your footage in my RU-vid channel. I'm Herie aka Heradius from Tanzania. I live in Kenya. I'll acknowledge your work through out the usage, and in description area. Thanks
Go ahead. The reasonn why I start in Lusaka, has to do with the idea of generating income. What could economically be shipped from Zambia? You start with the world's most popular fruit, bananas. A train load of bananas being shipped from Zambia, Tz, Uganda, S Sudan, as well as Burundi and Rwanda. The Top soil in Eastern Drc, is volcanic in origin down to opposite Kigoma. Coffee plants grow best on volcanic soil. South Brazil has volcanic soil over a large area, which is why Brazil produces more coffee then any other country. Eastern Drc has the volcanic land area to become the largest producer of coffee. Which could be shipped across lake Tanganika to Kigoma.
