You too did a copy past from the career section with over 95% plagiarism :) and deliberately skipped the family part because that smells elite capture. You should have researched about his achievements before you start praising him but anyways, to be honest, there was nothing new in his talk that someone who listens to international podcasts wouldn't already know. It's concerning that people here are calling him visionary when all he did was copy ideas from abroad. These concepts are outdated in the rest of the world, yet we consider them advancements. Regarding his credibility, industry insiders are well aware of his governance standards. For those less familiar, I suggest looking into the historic losses of Telenor Bank, the corrupt practices of Planet N Group, and Karandaaz's attempts to become larger than life, economic state of country is evident of EAC contribution and what not. On a lighter note, even his style and conduct seem to be copied from Jeremy Irons in the 14 years old movie, Margin Call. Unfortunately, these senior bankers have been part of the problem rather than contributing to any improvements. It's a shame that we idealize self-proclaimed, hollow personalities who simply look good and speak fluent English and somehow grabbed the prestigious positions to sell for the rest of their lives. The entire financial services sector is plagued by such individuals.

Even though such conversations get low views and engagement, it's important to have such conversations. Perhaps have it in urdu for a wider audience reach and include certain topics that will entice more interest.

I found Sampooran at a CD sale in a small obscure music shop in the coastal town of Pondicherry in southern India where i live. It was about 20 years ago. I have been a great fan of Mekaal since then. Later, again by chance, i picked up Saptak at another obscure music shop in the neighboring state of Kerala where i hail from. I have introduced many of my music loving friends to MHB. If there is one band i would travel to go hear anywhere in India it would be MHB. That is how much i appreciate their music - so distinguished. This interview was so good. I came to hear Mekaal's music making process. But i was more than surprised and impressed with his views on art, culture, politics and what it means to live an intelligent life. The man is so well informed on current matters. I have not heard any musician here on the subcontinent (or anywhere else for that matter) articulate views that are deep and nuanced. Most artists tend to live in silos separate from the rest of life. Here is someone who uses one to sustain the other seamlessly. Pakistan you have a national treasure in Mekaal 🙌

I would have been proud of Shiekhani Group if the businesses were run on Islamic Principles. In gas stations alcohol is being sold. They own bunch of Vape stores & Hemp businesses. The business empire is built by leveraging banks. I don’t think the business is build on halal principles. Want to see more Pakistanis building their businesses on Islamic Principles. There are 22 million Millionaires in U.S. So is Shiekhani. Trust me it is not a big deal U.S.
