I have an almost identical build; 14.5 mid fsb under c4 mlok with A5 receiver extension, mines a flat top upper but I dig the aesthetic and functionality(ability to still use irons) of the carry handle. Centurion is top notch and slept on. I mean who else is making KAC style bolts and barrels? Very smooth shooting setup. I liken mine to an old typewriter. Push the button hear a noise, feel a vibration and see the mark it makes on "paper"
Utilize, Utilize, Utilize... find a thesaurus jk. Love the rifle. My 14.5" mid under a c4 mlok is so sweet. Centurion gets slept on, and I like that, makes feel like I'm in the know lol
@@bunnyoperator yeah, when you compared that small sapi plate to the large it really seemed like it was maybe only a quarter inch narrower. When it says on hesco's sizing chart it's supposed to be inch and a quarter narrower. (Wanting to buy a pair just wanting to make sure I buy the right ones) thanks for reply
@@calvins4084 The plates I showed here are the shooter and swimmer cuts for the L210 and M210 respectively. If you intend to get SAPI then those would look much different due to the lack of cut for the shoulder pockets. SAPI plates tend to be a smidge larger than the shooter and swimmer cuts in general, so the plates shown here shouldn't be used as a visual comparison.
@@UrbanTiger74 Nice. 1x is perfect for that. PA just released a GLx variant with buttons vs illumination dial if you prefer that. If you think you want a little more reach the SLx 3X is a solid performer as well.
i truly enjoyed this a leanr a lot. the only question i have is,.. understanding that you sped up the video with editing, i am wondering what was the wait time between praying each color? ..did u let each color "sit" for a few minutes before changing or did u go right into changing colors immediatily between stencil patterns etc?? anyways.. i truly do thank u for the video! those turned out realy awesome
@@Maine307 You can wait or not. Doesn't really matter but if you want to wait then just a few minutes until the surface doesn't appear wet. That would depend on how warm it is. The sun helps.
I am newer to the gun experience, and last week felt some really under-powered shots from my gun, I didn't know about Squibs and am kinda apprehensive now. This was a really great video, while over researching this topic "Squibs" I came across an equally concerning incident an OverCharged load....I believe I understand and can ID squibs much better b/c of this video, what of the overcharged load? Is there any way to indicate those?
@@other4819 I'm glad that it was helpful. You can't physically ID an overcharged round for the most part. The best practice is to only use factory new ammo or if you must use reloads, only from a trusted source.
Have you experienced any failure to extract with this set up? Im running same barrel, a5 buffer but a lantac bcg and have been having failure to extract issues like its just not cycling. Curious if you have experienced any of that.
@@bunnyoperator it fired but didn't extract or double feed. So I was assuming buffer weight. I was using crap ammo that I had laying around from factory range pickups so they could very possibly be the issue as well but all fired just no extraction.
@@bradsmalt3852 Could be the ammo or a combination. Double feed from failure to extract is an indication of short stroking from too little gas or too heavy buffer setup for current gas. Try new, factory standard pressure ammo to see what happens. Your gas system should seal up any small leaks after a few hundred rounds too. If you continue to experience issues you can try a lighter buffer. Double check your gas system while you're at it. It can also be your BCG being not gas efficient or spec issues. Lantac isn't on the list of well-known solid shops. I also don't recommend that you shoot range pick up/unverified ammo. Shit happens and sometimes really bad things happen.
@@bunnyoperator I'm comfortable with the range pickup i use because they come from a specific range and they are all factory but I rarely use them still because the potential for boom. I like the Lantac design but currently on a trial so no real experience with their bcg prior to this, I havent heard of any significant failures regarding lantac though so if you have specific experience id like to hear what yours was/is/ or has been. Seemed like a short stroke because there weren't any double feeds. Thanks for the feedback, I just put this thing together hoping it would run regardless but I may have to alter some things after all. I do have some other bcg's to try as well. Thanks
@@bradsmalt3852 Until you figure out what's going on stick to new ammo to eliminate a variable. Avoid Winchester white box and steel cased also. Lantac BCGs are known to be inconsistent in specs and may not be as gas efficient. That in itself isn't necessarily an issue but when combined with other factors such as lower gas situations via ammo or temperature changes it can affect function. Also if bought the nickel boron variant you're paying a lot for little performance gain and sometimes less performance. Lube needs to stay in critical areas and won't on those let alone nickel boron will chip eventually. Regardless, you have it, so run it. Go through your checking process. Check your gas components to ensure everything is aligned and secured. Run new ammo. If it works you're good. If not swap the buffer out. A5H2 is equivalent to H3 in weight so you can try A5H0 which is equivalent to H1. I'm assuming you're shooting unsuppressed. If that doesn't work then it could be your BCG so swap that out. Anything beyond this requires more in depth checks. You could also ditch the A5 for a normal H1 carbine buffer setup. Every rifle should run with that.
@@redbeard7376 Pls do. The more data the better to help others. Do you mind sharing your configuration? Is your 19 all OEM otherwise? Do you know if your Alpha has a dimple at the vertical extension? Thanks
@@bunnyoperator I'm not sure about the extension. I got the trigger in June, whatever they were doing for gen 5 then,. Stock aside from a 507C optic and a light. Internals stock aside from the trigger. Also got the gun in June.
@@redbeard7376 Next time you pull your slide off look at the "shark fin" on the trigger bar and see if there's a dimple on it. That'll let you know if it's the latest version. The older ones didn't. The dimple was added to help keep the bar aligned under travel allegedly.
Now, compare these two to my battlewerx slide cut for eps carry mrs (red) on g19 slide. The optic fits as tight, if not tighter than your example, but directly mounted to slide so low, the oem sights are cowitnesses.
@@jasongaudreau2075 Not part of the comparison but since you've brought it up milled for direct mount ideally should have the optic sent with the slide to fit the specific optic to the slide. Optics have tolerance variances that need to be accommodated, so your anecdote reflects your sample but doesn't reflect all of it although Jagerwerks is a top quality shop and one of my go-to shops.
Nope. I do know that some folks experienced flickering or non-activation but I have yet to experience it. It also works with the double tap constant on function.
Nope. CMMG's MK9 lower for Colt mags paired with their RDB 9mm upper. The handguard is Centurion Arms. Link to their site in the description or in my profile.
@@bunnyoperator Dude you got to me so fast bro thanks you for the help! And if i could add to this conversation, is it a C4 M-lok rail carbine cut or a 556 M-lok rail?
@@BiggieA2008 This one is the one piece MLOK handguard that uses their proprietary CMR barrel but. The CM4 is a 2 piece design that uses the GI barrel nut but if you use an FSB then it'll work. You can see for this example that I have a fixed front sight mounted to the rail. If you search my channel for Centurion Arms CMR you'll find my video on their secret menu handguards if you want to sample those. I also touch on the C4 MLOK as well.

Is there a difference in dot clarity or sharpness between t2 and comp m5? I find the T2 dot to starburst…holosun dots are sharper to my eyes. I’ve heard comp m5 may use a newer LED but don’t want to drop another $1k to find out it’s identical to t2
That's up to your eyes, friend. T2 is a clean starburst to my eyes and so is the M5 but the T2 is capable of getting 1 step brighter. Some Holosuns don't work as well for me and they don't get nearly as bright as the T2 or M5. That being said, I'd favor the T2 over the M5 in general.
@@bunnyoperator that helps, thank you. All eyes are different for sure but I was curious if there was a generally clearer dot for comp 5s vs T2 and it seems they’re similar. I’ve got the T2 and will stick with it
@@wiggly8484 Yes, folks have sent me offset milling samples. You can find examples posted online as well. Some people seem to have had luck with them though, so the choice is yours to make. I'd suggest to look around a bit and message other reputable shops like Jagerwerks, Monsoon Tactical, Primary Machine, etc. to see if they have that option. You should also be able to find optic ready slides available albeit not as cost effective.
Hey, Thanks for the video. I had the Timney trigger for my Gen5 G34. No issue until recently. I had experience dead trigger. I found the problem, the Timney trigger housing is sitting too low, Causing the connector cross section not sitting flush with the sear. There for the cross section of the connector not able to clear the area on the glock housing. I adjusted the screw below the Timney housing, and now it works decent.
I installed the Gen 3/4 Alpha Trigger with the aftermarket trigger spring on my Shadow Systems DR920 Elite and after 420 rounds (combined indoor gun range and outdoor USPSA Steel Pistol match), not a single light strike issue occurred whatsoever. But what I did differently was I had this trigger professionally installed by a Glock gunsmith. I didn’t want my lack of experience and knowledge causing the malfunction.
@@alexancheta9562 Thanks for the details. Did your smith indicate what needed to be done or tweaked, if at all? The Shadow products are reverse engineered off the Glock Gen 3 TDP, so the specs can vary in addition to the more performance oriented components used for the guts. The data is always useful to help determine the issues folks are experiencing.
I installed about 10 Timney triggers never had an issue with one of them thousands of rounds. Did drop tests as well because people were claiming that I drop my gun from 15 feet onto concrete no issue. I think you guys just don’t know how to install things. Bad batch is crazy to me because I’ve been buying Timmy triggers for a long time I got 10 of them.
It's a Glock trigger. Not exactly difficult to install. You think that multiple people, multiple samples of Glocks in varying generations experiencing the same issues are user error? There is a large mix of OEM and/or aftermarket supporting parts used as well. The issue is Timney's execution of the product and the varying tolerances creating timing issues. This is well documented across the community. Timney's CS handling is varied as well not to mention their discreet updates of components and design to try and get ahead of the situation while leaving legacy users with issues screwed. I know for a fact that TTI and JG (in his Omega) has to considerably tune each Alpha installed, so it is hard to believe that your samples are simply drop and play as is let alone running OEM components like in my samples. What you can do to further the conversion is advise your configurations to help with data collection.
