I bought the 22w version and am loving it. I bought the Pro version because it has a rigid enclosure, not just a "tent", as well as some other features. Cost a little more but I believe worth it. I set up a 1/2" plywood sheet on the bottom (when not cutting right through) to align my pieces I do runs of 6 coasters at a time and takes about 10-15 minutes to complete the run with the detail I have.
Seems like not having a red laser pointer for alignment is a big negative as well - you mentioned it but didn't include in your "Cons" list. But otherwise seems like a great value.
I bought into Creality with their CR10s 3D printers. That was over 8 years ago, I believe, and I'm still using it today and haven't had one single issue with it that wasn't my fault. So rock solid performance from Creality. I did look into this specific laser, but ended up going with a 2028 enclosed laser due to size. But for a starter machine, this would be perfect.
Those blankets work great on the inside of windows in the summer to deflect heat too. I used to tape them on, but now I just spray the window with water and smooth them on.
You should really turn off the bandsaw between cuts. I couldn’t watch as you left it running and your hand got super close to it. As this is a tutorial you should have started with safety.
Hard to use, high chance of snapping your ankles, unpredictable when using... Just needs finishing off with some lead paint and it'd be a true 1960s toy 😅
What do you mean you have no idea why you would use the part where you can make your own design?? Of course it would be for if one wants to draw or compose their own unique design to engrave...😏
I have a wallet ive had since i was a teenager i think by Mossimo? And its like a T shape that folds up to a little credit card size wallet big enough to hold money and however many cards you need. Imagine laying out 4 credit cards into a T shape, with all the cards laid vertically. I love it if i ever lose it im just gonna make my own
My guy has a favorite wallet he's had for maybe a couple decades now 🤔 anyway... 😅 The thread is giving out on it, and it's been making him sad. I need to fix it for him soon.
"Hey Chief, how did the fire start?" "Another cheese laser fire..." All joking aside, you guys make some great videos! I wonder how well it would engrave stainless steel.
Just came across your channel. Really enjoyed this build! Hats off to you for rasping and filing those huge internal reliefs by hand. Even with you using the spindle sander, I saw that part and thought, "This will carry her into old age."
I love what you've done. You can check it against the actual patent, filed in 1949. But only after you're satisfied. I looked and and you're darn close.
yeah. it’s an unfortunately common mispronunciation, from my experience it’s said pretty commonly in in the new england area of the states. it’s kind of a mash up of supposedly and possibly.
The stitches is wallets are as weak as any stitching. Wallets get opened and shut constantly, the edges get contorted with every use, so those stitches get pulled and stretched so much. Having a wallet (hopefully) just stay in the correct shape would have been a bit of a nice surprise.
