Hi from Australia, I have the exact same issue with my GC1705. I see many design flaws with MF (ISEKI) tractors, which could damage the tractor and will cost a fortune. Recently the 4 bolts from my mower deck gearbox came off. awkward positioning of the tail lights , which already broken.

Hi Jason. I just ran across this video from last year. Great review. I have the older model GC2610, which is basically the same tractor. I've only had a few breakdowns, and they were all my fault. I think every breakdown involved damaging a hydraulic hose or two. I agree, these tractors are well built and tough! Thanks for sharing. - Rick

Happy to hear the 1000 hour news. I'm glad I picked Massey. Best bang for bucks. (Nissan Frontier pickup=best truck bang) Those lights. I snapped one off. Used gel super glue to fix it and tape to hold it while the glue set. Perfect job. Can't even see the break line. Because the Massey loan stipulates I can't use it for commercial, and insurance says it has to stay on the property, I have thought to take those lights off and replace with LED spots on the front and back of the ROPS. Not out the side. Those lights are for the road and don't make sense in the bush. I have the 2018 model. Better seat, same bucket joystick. It is a beast for sure. Only 60 hours but I've moved a dump-truck full of rip-rap, truck of gravel, truck of crushed asphalt, 3 trucks of wood chips, put in three culverts, dug out my ditch on property road frontage, graded the driveway, used the backhoe with thumb to carry numerous large logs, and dug out at least twenty big rocks (the ones that stick up enough to hit lawnmower blades). Oh yes, it's a great tow truck for the other machine that broke down in the bush. 20 acre property. Mostly low lying inaccessible bush. Did I mention I also built two short 300' roads over damp spots with the rip-rap, asphalt and gravel. One was mostly to level the path so the side-lights don't tilt into a tree (the one that snapped it off.)

Well Mr. Jason at a thousand hours you have proved that this massey ferguson rig is of excellent quality & reliability. So many other video's & sales pitches with very little or NO back up. Thanks for vidio, happy safe tractoring. Just happen to have two Massey-Ferguson's; a 1988 2010 21hp 1686 hours. A 2016 1736 with a measly 10.4 hrs - yes 10.4 hours.. So just can't say much except it looks "pretty", just a case of "more money than brains" so far. Number 3- a 2017 Kubogy ,a mx5200 tlb with 778hrs does just fine except hydraulics are Kubogy slow. I need a (would like) a back-hoe attachment [a measly 10,000$]for the1736 to prove it's worth.--- but can't find any "REAL" vidios to spur me on--- like yours!!

Wow! It sure sounds like you've got a tractor collection going on..that's awesome! Yes, the Massey has definitely proven it's worth and reliability. That's some nice sandy soil to work with ! I use to have one of those portable garages 1st heavy wet snow crushed the hell out of it but I did manage to salvage the front & back & I use one to cover my log splitter implement & my newer M-F 1526 & I just have a tarp for the M-F 50 & my only tractor project I have going on right know is putting a canopy on the 1526 I'm repurposing a barely used golf cart top & I'm installing 2 led lights in the front & 2 in the rear that are attached the canopy along with a AM-FM / weather radio with a built in speaker & that's attached to a center brace that I installed & yes I'm putting on side view mirrors as well total cost of this build was only $ 355.00 & that is about the cost of a new one from the dealer for a plain canopy& way cheaper than a new plain golf cart canopy . Looks like the hood repair on Maggie is holding up good & I like your therapy nothing beats seat time on the tractors & the only other tractor project I have lined up is to replace the external hydraulic lines on the 50 & on the log splitter implement they are a wee bit over 20 years old. Thanks for the video & I'm looking forward to the next one. Oh! my brother is enjoying his new M-F GC 1723 EB & one other thing I'm getting a Massey- Ferguson dealer that is fairly close to me YAY!

Well who every put that one on my tractor need to know how to install them . It’s never work right . Now it’s been leaking oil. I’ve took the tractor back now 3 times and still have now fixed the problem. What a disappointment that tractor is 8 months and only 16 hours. 33, OOO dollars not worth a damn. Will be up for sale.

I have 250hrs on mine overall I’m very pleased with it. I too had a issue with the hydro line rubbing thru. After replacing I put a small piece of old rubber hose around the line it and it solve the issue. Only other complaint, is the lift capacity of the front bucket seems a little weak to me. Also I wish there was a quick disconnect for the front bucket so you could add attachments like a grapple for moving brush.

I bought a GC1710 tlb about 5 years ago. Just did the 500 hour service. I have 8 western PA acres, which means hills. I liked my GC so much I also bought a 1726e 2 years later.. A member of our club looked my tractors over and bought a 1734e with a backhoe to do hundreds of feet of irrigation ditch.. My tractors completed 5 versalok walls, leveled a couple of backyards, put in hundreds of feet of French drain for a few homes, and moved or distributed a couple hundred tons of material. Beast is an understatement. They have both paid for themselves 3-4 times over. I have done a series of lighting, toolbox, and winch upgrades. The only thing I have managed to break is one of the ROPs lights, just like you. I keep up with all the maintenance on both and from the looks of the machines, they will both be in my Will and fought over. Enjoy your equipment and most of all, stay safe, thanks so much for the video and sharing.

Me again, I had the same diff lock issue. A lot of working it back and forth with liberal amounts of lubrication and it is back to operating like new. This was not a 2 minute fix..
