A collection of many songs, current & historical music from the isle of Great Britain, The Anglo-sphere, and occasionally a song from West Europe. I can’t do any northern Irish songs, as they get taken down by RU-vid, apologies to anyone who wants to listen to those.
This channel is completely apolitical, I do not care if you have a different opinion. The only exceptions are plain false statements or comments supporting extremism, left or right, I’ve had many comments say how ‘the British fought on the wrong side in WW2.’ or how ‘IRA terrorism is justified.’ Just be civil and respectful, don't call for the deaths of innocent people.
Also missing: it was a popular (music hall) song from the time of the Jacobite rebellion, when many people thought that the Jacobites would win. Hence the verse about rebellious Scots and General Wade: Lord, grant that Marshal Wade May, by thy mighty aid, Victory bring. May he sedition hush And, like a torrent, rush Rebellious Scots to crush. God save the King.
There neither ever was, nor ever will be anything greater than the British Empire. She was not perfect, but she was born of greatness, and she gave birth to greatness. She is, more than any other symbol, a monument to the fact that humanity has the capacity to be, to imagine, and to become greater than the sum of its parts.
