Told my dealer about x53 on my 2006 300c that stalls after filling tank.....your right...they insisted on paying diagnostic charge first....i told them i have no evap codes which would indicate a leak...so why do you want $200 to check for leaks...they wouldnt budge....i guess commisioned payed service writers do that....
From my limited experience, it seems like it’s a temperature thing. I’m having an issue with mine where it vibrates when it’s on like crazy. So to show the shop I had to drive it enough to get it to heat up. I may be wrong, just sharing my experience.
Man i hope you can reply pretty quick. I'm trying to take my fan out but having a problem getting it to clear the front pulley on my engine. Any tips on how you got yours out?
Thanks...I actually had to remove the upper hose to get the clearance from the water pump pulley...but i have another question. When plugging in the new fan was it a tight fit? I plugged it in as far as incan get it but it doesn't look fully seated.
Based on no replies to recent comments I'm guessing you no longer monitor this, but, I just wanted to give a shout-out for making this vid. Mine just went bad while I was out running errands, I did a search to see how hard it would be, found your vid, drive straight to AutoZone for a new one and took me about 30 mins to change! So thank you, appreciate it! The fact this has almost 7000 views and only 90+ likes and 16 comments is absurd. People should at least say thank you if they used the video. I will say getting it out was a BITCH, but doable. Use a think screwdriver against the fan motor and engine to pry and create some extra space...that helped me a ton getting it out/new one in!
So my splash screen says N/A and I want to to say hellcat and ig that’s how you get the performance pages on the UConnect screen. Anyone know how to change this?
Last time I changed spark plugs was on my dad's old 2002 Honda Accord. The coil pack wires were already exposed, so you just had to remove them, and then you had access to the spark plug. Maybe a ten minute job, and most of that was just finding the where we put the socket set. There is a special place in hell for modern automotive engineers that make what used to be routine maintenance, a massive pain in the ass.
I got a 2014. My coolant goes up to 240 and putting the heat on will bring it back down. Had a dynastic done and they said coolant fan was running weak. Also fan doesn’t turn on until coolant temp hits 230. I’m gonna try to do it this weekend thanks to finding your vid
@@jayhero629_smith3 sorry for the late response. I’m just seeing these. So i changed out the fan which was really easy to do and there was no change. You can definitely tell the new fan had way more power. I ended up changing the thermostat that’s above the water pump and it’s been sitting at 212 ever since. It could be air in the line. I would try the thermostat first. But if you do have a week fan id change it too. Hope this helps!
