Been playing this head and the matching 1x15 cab for 4 years now and I love it. The DI is perfect. This is fairly powerfull head and it sounds great live and recorded.
Thank you so much. I’ve had this amp for 10 years now and read the manual from front to finish and didn’t understand a word of it. Keeping in mind that this was my first foray into the land of electric guitars and amps after playing accoustic for around 53 years, I had no idea about anything. The complexity (as a novice) discouraged me and the sound was awful (operator error) so I bought a Roland Cube and that has been my go to amp. Recently, I decided that it was pissing me off to stare at the Peavey collecting dust so I have been trying to find someone to explain even just the basics. I don’t want or need heavy metal head banging settings (I’m a 73 year old lady), well, maybe I might, hehe. I want a clean warm sound and then build up to something that will drive my kids crazy. So thanks for this video, I’ll be watching this several times I’m sure!

Strange, on my Ibanez SR605e the pickups are Nortstrand 'Big Breaks' not Bartolini's...the Bartolini's sound good but i like the Nordstrands as their a modern twist on a mix of Jazz & Precision tones with twin polepieces like a Jazz but are linear dual coils like a Precision..great bass's for a fair price...hope your still enjoying yours....ps...1 toggle switch is for active/passive & the other toggle switch is a 3 position mid range frequency selector👍🎸
I have one of these. These share the same sound set as the JV series and also the XP50,30 and 80 all the same sound set also the GM Yamaha Midi General sound set plus i use it to control my JV1010 that has everything the XP30 has with the my Exspansion card Keyboards of the 60s and 70s. SRJV08-08 is my card number on it plus i use a Neo Vent Leslie pedal with the Hammond Organs,Farfisa Organs and all my Rhodes and Wulzer Vox Organ and Suitcase Pianos, Clavis and Metrosynth sound. Sheeeeeeeeiit and that will beat any Roland Fantom out there. My Roland XP-10/Roland JV1010 is even more powerful together. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤ kick butt sounds. Any of you disagree your crazy. These two units alone plus that card went for damn near 800 bucks one year ago Cuz! These Rolands aint cheap neither easy to find neither... Roland is Owned by Yamaha and Korg owns Roland Yamaha and Casio. The big 4 in Japan. Been going on for years now. Only capabilities with these two synths are the editing capabilties with them and they get really buggy from what i heard so i edit my own way, With guitar effects and a D.I box with ground lift options to rid any humming. My ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉sound is on point ya heard?🎉🎉🎉🎉
These sounds are still usable in music production and still acceptable for use in shows or playing in the band. I would choose this keyboard over a Nord lead any day.
Oof, this was painful to watch. The switch is a midrange switch as another commenter mentioned. It doesn’t do ANYTHING with the mid range knob flat. And the knob you called a “tone knob” is the pickup blend knob. Having it “wide open” just means you are only hearing the neck pickup.
Thank you! I have had this amp for years and could not figure out how to ise it. I didn't come with a manual and figuring it out on my own was next to impossible. Now i dont have to sell it!
